摘要


行動隨建即連網路 (mobile ad hoc networks)是由行動節點所構成的,而行動節點的電池電量是非常有限的,故電池的電量是決定行動節點可以在這個網路中存活時間長短的一個重要因素,直接影嚮到整個網路的壽命。因此考量電量的限制在這樣的網路上變成非常重要的課題。 在ECB-AODV [1]的方法中,只有當節點剩餘電量小於單一固定的臨界值(即20%)時,才不會被其他路徑選擇為中繼節點。但相對而言,此時節點剩餘電量已經很低了,即使不幫其他路徑轉傳封包,仍需負擔當自己是來源或目的節點端時傳送或接收封包之電量消耗,故存活時間也不長了,改善效果不夠明顯,因此還有可以改進的空間。 本論文提出了使用階層式的方式,更有效平衡網路節點電量,同時提高節點存活時間及封包送達成功率,進一步讓網路壽命及效能提升。

Mobile ad hoc networks are consisted of the mobile nodes with limited battery power. The battery energy will determine how long the mobile nodes survive in the network, and also the entire network life time. Therefore, considering the energy constraint for mobile ad hoc networks is an important research issue. In ECB-AODV [1], only the mobile node’s remaining energy less than a fixed threshold level (20%), it will not be selected as the intermediate transmitting nodes. But at this moment, the mobile node’s remain energy is very low now, event it doesn’t help others to transfer packets, it still has the energy consumption for transferring or receiving packets when it is source or destination node, so it can’t live too long, It is not obvious enough to improve the result, so there still has something that we can do for the further improve. In this paper, we propose a mechanism with three threshold levels for the defining of the mobile node’s remaining energy instead of one level. Our methods will balance the mobile node’s remain energy more efficiently, also increase their life time and data packets throughput, the result we can see is the entire network’s efficiency and life-time improving further.
