The Distributed Data Server (DDS) based on PIC has been used in the decentralized Home Telehealth Systems. This thesis proposed a development scheme of a new DDS using ARM core. This proposed ARM DDS utilizes Samsung S3C 2410 CPU and Linux OS. A prototype of ARM DDS was tested, showing an enhanced performance and multiple functions over that of PIC DDS. The data-sensing, calculating, data-accessing, and severing functions were also build in this prototype. With ARM DDS, the new generation of DDS, future applications for the decentralized Home Telehealth Systems were discussed.
