親水性陽極與疏水性陰極對於質子交換膜燃料電池性能的影響

摘要


本實驗研究方向分為兩個部分。第一部分為陰極微孔層對於質子交換膜燃料電池的影響,以乙炔碳黑(Acetylene black)與氟化乙丙烯(FEP)作為微孔層之成份,其中碳負載量為0.5 mg/cm2、C:FEP 重量比= 1:0.7,在不同的陰極進料增濕溫度下進行測試。實驗結果顯示,在陰極碳紙上添加微孔層,能夠減少陰極水氾濫,使得電池性能提升。 第二部分為親水性陽極對於質子交換膜燃料電池的影響,分別在陽極觸媒層與微孔層裡添加親水性二氧化矽(SiO2)顆粒,其含量皆為 20 wt.%,並且添加5 wt.% Nafion離子體於陽極氣體擴散層內,在不同陽極進料增濕溫度下進行研究。實驗結果顯示,陽極觸媒層與微孔層裡添加二氧化矽,在低進料增濕溫度下可以增加陽極觸媒的潤濕性,使得質子傳導率增加。

The study is divided into two parts. The first part is to investigate the effect of cathode micro-porous layer on the PEM fuel cell performance. The micro-porous layer is made of acetylene black and FEP. The carbon loading was 0.5 mg/cm2, and C:FEP=1:0.7 in weight ratio. The effect of micro-porous layer is investigated at various cathode humidifier temperature. The results showed that the coated micro-porous layer on cathode carbon paper can minimize the cathode flooding and achieve better cell performance. The second part is to study the influence of hydrophilic anode on the PEM fuel cell performance. Hydrophilic SiO2 particles were added to the anode catalyst layer and anode micro-porous layer. SiO2 contents in both layers were 20 wt.%. In addition, 5 wt.% Nafion ionomer was added to the anode gas diffusion layer. The effect of SiO2 addition is investigated at various anode humidifier temperature. The results showed that SiO2 addition in anode catalyst layer and micro-porous layer can increase the wettability of anode catalyst under low humidifier temperature so that the proton conductivity can be increased.
