本論文為負載平衡於WiMAX換手程序的應用,藉由加入負載平衡(Load Balancing)的概念,我們使用建議的鄰近基地台的服務品質資訊(QoS Information of Neighbor BS)和移動裝置與基地台之間的訊號品質做為目標基地台的選擇,並且我們的演算法能夠使原本的IEEE 802.16e換手機制可以使基地台(Base Station)的資源平均分配,已達到各基地台工作量均等。 接著,在本文會先介紹目前802.16e的Paper有提及的換手議題並分析各Paper的優缺點,然後簡介802.16的網路運作及802.16e換手機制,進而詳述本文研究的負載平衡換手演算法,最後對我們的方法與傳統方法進行效能分析。
The paper is a load balancing application in WiMAX handover. To add the concept of load balancing, we use QoS information of Neighbor BS and Base Station (BS) signal quality to choose a target BS. Our algorithm is benefit for balance BS’s resource usage and balance load in every BS. First, we introduce nowadays research papers of handover in 802.16e both in benefits and drawbacks. Then, 802.16 network and 802.16e handover will be introduced. Finally, we introduce our research in load balanced handover algorithm and do a performance evaluation both with our method and traditional method.
