The study is to characterize the composites of the dicalcium phosphate anhydrous (DCPA) particle as fillers for dental resin ,and to improve the problems of secondary caries and restorative fracture. Fillers were fabricated with different surface treatment on the surfaces of DCPA particles. The complete samples were investigated the physicochemical properties and microscopic structures. Results showed the sample largely releases the calcium and phosphorus ions in the solution after immersed 24hrs and thermal cycling. In mechanical analysis, we found the particles with N-surface modification would increase reinforcement significantly. Moreover, the S-treated would increase the toughness of the material, and would form the good bonding strength between the resin matrix and fillers. In the results of ions release ability found the A group was the best ions release ability, and followed B and C group. The D group was the worst ions release ability. However, the ions release ability of D group is the poorest, it could slow degradation process. This study find could increase the compressive strength and have the potential of release of calcium and phosphate ions by N-treated and S-treated DCPA resin calcium phosphate composite resin. In future, we believe it will have a good development and application in clinic.
