研究目的為探討過重者及肥胖者的身體活動分別與代謝症候群、高血壓前期及糖尿病前期的關係。研究設計是以醫院為主的橫斷式研究,於2002年6月至2007年10月在高雄市立小港醫院家醫科減重門診收集307位個案的問卷、身體量測值與血液檢查值。利用邏輯斯回歸分析身體活動分別與代謝症候群、高血壓前期及糖尿病前期的關係。代謝症候群的定義根據2007年台灣行政院衛生署國健局準則。 研究結果發現,代謝症候群盛行率為44.30%;高血壓前期盛行率為62.98%;糖尿病前期盛行率為22.42%。在調整其它變項之後,代謝症候群的發生率,有隨著身體活動頻率及時間的增加,而有下降的趨勢,Ptrend為0.001;高血壓前期的發生率也隨著身體活動頻率的增加而有下降的現象,Ptrend為0.039;糖尿病前期則是在較多身體活動頻率及時間的部份有相關,其OR為0.21(95%CI:0.1-0.8)。 因為是橫斷式的研究,所以只能證明身體活動與代謝症候群、高血壓前期及糖尿病前期的發生率呈負相關。
This study aimed to evaluate physical activities and its association with metabolic syndrome, pre-hypertension and pre-diabetes among overweight and obesity subjects. We conducted a hospital based cross-sectional study to investigate the risk factors of metabolic syndrome, pre-hypertension and pre-diabetes. Basic document and lifestyle characteristics that were collected as self-reported for 307 participants, randomly selected during June 2002 to October 2007, evaluated in the Department of Family Medicine, Kaohsiung Municipal Hsiao-kang Hospital. Multivariable logistic regression was used to estimate odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals with adjustment for multiple covariates. Metabolic syndrome was defined according to TAIWAN rules (2007). The prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 44.30%, pre- hypertension was 62.98% and pre-diabetes was 22.42%.The adjusted odds ratios of metabolic syndrome decreased with increasing physical activity frequency and time ( p=0.001 for trend). The adjusted OR of pre-hypertension decreased with increasing physical activity frequency ( p=0.039 for trend). The adjusted OR of pre-diabetes in the most frequency and time of physical activity was 0.21(95%CI: 0.1-0.8). Physical activities may be associated with metabolic syndrome, pre-hypertension and pre-diabetes. Physical activities are inversely related to the prevalence of metabolic syndrome, pre-hypertension and pre-diabetes.
