音樂融入國中英語口說教學之行動研究

An Action Research of Applying Music Elements on English Oral Speaking Teaching

摘要


本研究旨在探討以音樂融入國中英語口說教學之實際影響。透過教師行動研究法,選取台北縣某私立國中八年級學生為研究對象,採質、量並行之研究方式,經由教學日誌、教學省思、學習成就前後測、訪談等綜合分析,得到以下結論,在過程方面:(一)音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程適合國中階段英語課程運用;(二)每週固定的口說教學課程對於國中階段學生口說能力有幫助;(三)以成對或小組方式練習為有效的口說練習方式;(四)輕鬆而愉悅的學習氛圍有助於學生勇於嘗試與表現;(五)學生對於音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程設計與教學活動接受度高;在結果方面:(一)音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程有助於學習者掌握英語語音系統中節奏之特性;(二)音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程有助於學習者掌握英語語音系統中突顯之特性;(三)音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程有助於學習者掌握英語語音系統中思考區段之特性;(四)音樂融入國中英語口說教學課程有助於學習者掌握英語語音系統中語調之特性;(五)音樂融入國中英語口說教學之課程讓學生有助於提高對於英語口語學習的反覆練習;(六)音樂融入國中英語口說教學之課程有助於學生提高對於英語口語學習的興趣;(七)音樂融入國中英語口說教學之課程有助於學生提高對於英語口語學習的自信心。最後依據研究結果,對於英語教師及未來研究者提出建議。

This thesis mainly discusses the influence of applying music on junior high school English oral speaking teaching. Through action research, eighth graders are chosen. The study applies both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The researcher collected, compared and analyzed data from teacher’s journals, achievement tests, semi-structured interviews and oral speaking tests results to see the influence. The conclusions are followed: As for the process: 1. It is suitable for junior high school students to apply music on English oral speaking teaching. 2. It is helpful for students to have fixed English oral speaking class weekly. 3. Practicing in pairs or small groups are effective ways of learning. 4. Nice and easy atmosphere helps students to try and show. 5. Students are highly willing to have the oral speaking class with music. As for the results: 1. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for getting rhythms. 2. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for getting prominent. 3. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for realizing thought groups. 4. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for getting intonations. 5. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for repetitive oral practicing. 6. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for enthusiasm. 7. Applying music to English oral speaking teaching is effective for confidence. Advices are given to English teachers and future researchers according to the study results.
