費丹旭(1801-1850)字子苕,號曉樓,浙江吳興人。研究費丹旭的人物畫,特別是仕女畫,其重要的意義為費丹旭在受到,陳洪綬、華喦、改琦的影響後,能夠掌握、融合時代之審美趨向,另立新的仕女典型,開闢一條新的蹊徑。 本論文《舊夢曾尋碧玉家—費丹旭人物畫研究》,在章節的安排上,第一章是由費丹旭的生平、交遊及文學修養開始論述,先介紹他的家世背景、人生經歷,並從其《依舊草堂遺稿》的詩詞內容,了解費丹旭的師友們對他在藝術方面的啟發。第二章分別探討費丹旭各類人物、仕女、肖像畫作,研究其風格、筆法,並從中整理出費氏承襲前人的脈絡,及獨創的繪畫表現方式。第三章再進一步研究他於海寧蔣氏別下齋繪製的《陰隲文圖證》版畫插圖作品,與上海古籍出版社據民國印本校刊的《百美圖》巾箱本。《陰隲文圖證》反映了費丹旭多方面的藝術才能;《百美圖》中的畫作不僅呈現女子對青春容貌、愛情婚姻的關注和期待,也傳達出女性透過閱讀及寫作,將她們的影響拓展到了新的領域。第四章為延伸探討〝費派〞仕女風格對後世的影響,包括了海派、二十世紀初期流行的月份牌與百美圖風情畫,還有幾位近代知名的畫家。
Fei Dan-xu(1801-1850)was born in Wu-xing. His courtesy name was Zi-tiao, and his pseudonym was Xiao-lou. This dissertation aims to study Fei’s figure paintings, in particular lady paintings, which demonstrate that although he was affected by Chen Hong-shou(陳洪綬), Hua Yan(華喦)and Gai Qi(改琦), he still developed a keen sense of the latest aesthetic tendency and was able to combine the styles of the present and the previous to create his very own style. This dissertation the Finding Pretty Ladies in Old Dreams - A Study of Figure Paintings by Fei Dan-xu will first look into Fei’s biography, friendship and literature accomplishment. In addition to introducing his background and life experience, this chapter will study his Yi Jiu Cao Tang Yi Gao(依舊草堂遺稿), through which we are able to understand the influence of Fei’s teachers and friends on his art works. The second chapter will discuss all kinds of Fei’s figure paintings, including figures, ladies and portraits. Through a careful study of his styles and brushworks in these paintings, this chapter aims to unfold the trajectory how Fei assimilated the traits of the previous painters to develop his unique style. The third chapter, will examine Fei’s print illustration-Yin Zhi Wen Tu Zheng(陰隲文圖證)and One Hundred Beauties(百美圖). Yin Zhi Wen Tu Zheng was made in Bie-xia Zhai(別下齋), the mansion of Jiang Guang-xu(蔣光煦). This illustrated Taoist text reflects Fei’s comprehensive accomplishments in art. The One Hundred Beauties studied in this dissertation will use the version republished by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House(上海古籍出版社)from the early twentieth century prints. The One Hundred Beauties not only displays that women are interested in their youths and beauties, expecting loves and marriages but also express that women develop their influence to a new field by reading and writing. The final chapter will explore the influence of “Fei’s School” on later artists and schools, including those popular during the early twentieth century, such as the Shanghai School, The Calendar Advertising Painting(月份牌)and Bai Mei Tu Feng Qing Hua(百美圖風情畫), as well as several famous modern painters.
