看與被看之間─視覺性的在場

Between Watching and Being Watched-Visual Existence

摘要


「觀看」是一種慾望,觀看的選擇過程,就是為了滿足我們某方面的慾望。瀏覽網路自拍照的過程,提供了一個任意選擇的機會,可以不用在意別人的眼光,慢慢的挑選,審視你的對象。自拍者同時身為影像的塑造者及被塑造的對象,她所塑造出的就是希望如何「被看到」,為了想成為被觀看的對象,為獲得認同而偽裝、或妝扮、或演出。然而自拍最常發生在私密、自己的房間裡進行。在自己最習慣的環境裡,才會安全的展示自己,觀看的人卻是藉由鏡頭進入自拍者的房間,窺視她的隱私。 作品提供了一個視覺經驗的空間,在這空間中讓那細節及慾望的投射被牽引而出。在「凝視」之中讓視覺自由回到自身,讓身體沉靜的與影像共處,在這個看與被看的場所,觀者面對著觀看對象身體的存在及反視,觀者、自拍者在同樣的時間流動下,凝視著彼此讓身體的感受更加深,影響著觀看,加深了投射的慾望,剝除了那層看與被看的關係,在注視當中回到當下,在觀看之外,存在於看與被看之間。

“Look” is a kind of desire. The process of choosing the subject to look is to satisfy someone's aspect. Browse the autodyne on Internet provides an opportunity to fulfill it. We take our time to pick freely and survey each of them, with out other people’s judgments. People who took an autodyne have two roles. One is a model and the other is a modeler. They model every thing for how they will “be looked” and for that reason they relate people by disguise, costume or performing. The place to take an autodyne is the most private place, their rooms, and the safest and comfortable place to show them. But the one who looks the autodyne can enter the autodyne maker’s room through the camera for peek their privet life. This project has provided a space of visual experience. In this space during watching the video, every detail and desire draw out from the heart. In "gazing" the video, the freedom of visual go back to the one who is watching it and quietly with the video without attraction. In this “watching and being watched” place, the watcher is faced the one who is in the video and being watched. They are both flowing in this moment, gazing each other make the watcher’s sensation feel deeper, farther more enhance the desire. Take off the relation of watching and being watched, by gazing feel this moment beyond watching something is reel and visionary between watching and being watched.
