Abstract This paper discusses the subject, “looking at flowers with physics - transformation and regeneration,” framing “flowers” as a type of plant morphology, as well as drawing from a view of “nature” to transform symbols of personal meaning. It explores personal projects between 2005 and 2010 to discover a unique vocabulary for artistic expression. This paper utilizes an experimental process to symbolically evolve plant images in painting as a response to fragments of life experiences. The content is divided into five sections. The first section, “Introduction,” discusses the motivations behind the works, the direction of research, and the main research proposition, as well as explains the connection of the creator’s personal experiences with plant morphology and daily objects. The second section, “The Expression of Plant Elements in Nature,” discusses relevant discourse and creations to clarify the development of the works’ contexts and their diverse possibilities. The third section, “Discussion of Personal Creative Form and Material Usage,” particularly focuses on print form and technique to describe and analyze works. The fourth section, “Annotations,” discusses the creative background behind each work. The fifth section, “Conclusion,” summarizes the creative process, and discusses the possible extension of works and future developments. Keywords: Plant morphology, flowers, printmaking
