「天母水道祭」是一群社區媽媽自發性籌辦的地方文化活動,旨在藉由文化藝術活動的舉辦,匯聚社區成員共同守護地方文化資產—草山水道系統。雖然沒有專業的藝術或教育工作者統籌整個活動,但參與者們憑藉對社區環境與自身需求的了解,不僅發展出許多結合水道文化與在地資源的創意行為,更在活動中經歷了一連串的學習成長過程。 本文以民族誌研究法為基礎,並針對田野對象的特性,選取參與式觀察、訪談與文件分析三項研究工具,希望由詳實的紀錄工作,了解婦女、學生、教師、老人、藝術工作者等社區成員在水道祭活動中所擁有的文化、藝術與學習經驗,並探索結合文化資產、環境生態、服務學習等內容之藝術學習活動的樣貌,以供社區、教育、文化藝術等相關工作者參考。 本文發現水道祭在將日常經驗作為創作與學習材料的同時,也讓文化、藝術與學習活動消解於生活中,其經驗不僅充分呼應社區取向藝術教育之精神,更提醒我們:社區取向藝術教育的實踐過程,就是將美感教育落實在生活裡,亦即將「美」實踐於生態環境、人際互動、知識真理、道德紀律、經濟生產等生活面向,而這一切都有賴於身為藝術家、文化人、學習者的社區成員共同在生活中努力。
“Tianmu Water Canal Festival” is a local culture activity launched by a group of home mothers in the Tianmu community. In order to assemble community members to protect the local culture heritage—Grass Mountain Water Works, they gathered and organized themselves on their own initiative. Although there was no experts in art or education to lead the activity, participants, being familiar with the community environment and their own need, have yet done lots of creative performing, linking the culture of the Water Canal and the local resources. Based on the notion of Ethnography and the characteristics of the field, this study use participant observation, interview, and documentary analysis as research tools to record the activity processes and show the role of community members, including women, students, teachers, the elders, and artists, and their art, culture, and learning experiences in Tianmu Water Canal Festival. It leads to the findings of the possibilities for art learning activities to combine and include the culture heritage, ecological environments, service-learning, etc. This study reveals that Tianmu Water Canal Festival uses everyday life as the material for art-making, which contributes to a wide scope of learning, and that it enables the culture, art, and learning activities to fuse with everyday life. Thus, the experience of Tianmu Water Canal Festival not only reflects the essence of the Community-Based Art Education, but also reminds us that: The practice of Community-Based Art Education is to carry out the aesthetic in life contents, such as ecological environment, relationship, knowledge, truth, morality or economy, etc., and this ideal relies on the efforts of community members who are artists, culture workers and learners.
