匈牙利作曲家巴爾托克(Béla Bartók, 1881-1945)一生投入民謠採集的工作,這使他的音樂增添不同的色彩。1945年巴爾托克受中提琴家普林羅斯(William Primrose) 的邀稿執筆創作此中提琴協奏曲,然而在作品完成之前便離世。之後由謝利(Tibor Serly )代筆完成,樂曲一問世便造成轟動,成為中提琴演奏家心目中的三大協奏曲之一。約半個世紀後,巴爾托克的兒子彼得發現手稿與樂曲上有些出入,為了使父親最初衷的創作呈現,便決定再版。本論文以此新版巴爾托克協奏曲為主軸,除了介紹作曲家生平背景,分析樂曲外,並以手稿與舊版作比較,最後以個人詮釋作結。
Béla Bartók (1881-1945) is not only a well-known Hungarian musician, but also a folk music collector. In the last year of Bartók's life, he wrote the viola concerto for the Scottish violist, William Primrose. Nevertheless, Bartók passed away before the work been finished. Few years after, Tibor Serly set all those draft and published it. About fifty years after, Peter( Bartók's son) read the draft and the published score, found out the difference. For let the real idea of his father been understand, he decied to publish a new version, which is almost alike to the draft. The thesis is basic on the revised version, and compare with the Serly's version and analysis them.
