The Internship Report on Cacao Magazine

摘要


Abstract This report includes three parts: the background of intern, the work of intern, and the achievement of intern in cacao magazine, a successful independent magazine publisher in Taiwan. Independent Magazines adjust the predominance of mainstream, becomes a form of alternative media, a culture of storytelling and knowledge sharing. The culture of magazines presents a dynamic, globalized culture also local life which connects to textual influences. Working in the cacao magazine is a crucial experience to get involved in the Culture and Creativity Industry. The internship is an important approach to study one individual independent publisher from inner environment. There are three main purposes to accomplish in the intern: First, to understand how a successful independent magazine publisher actually works, and figure out how to improve the workflow. Second: to link people in professional fields through the publishing industry, furthermore get to know their stories. Third, apply the experience on related careers in the future. In the end, the internships can provide valuable experience, thereby guide future career directions. The publishing industry requires much more mental and physical efforts than people can imagine, each small process can cause inappropriate result. Even the publishing market in Taiwan is quite small comparing with other countries, still very vigorous due to the liberal and multi-culture social background. If the independent publisher wants to operate continuously, the publisher must be not fear of open new market. Besides, the long term way to enlarge the domain of artistic and cultural magazine is to promote the esthetic sensibilities of whole public.
