摘要

《國士無雙》是以閩南語撰寫，結合歌仔戲與現代戲劇的劇本。
本劇由《史記．淮陰侯列傳》裡的一句話：「諸將易得耳，至如信者，國士無雙！」出發，其結構並陳西漢王朝與現代兩個時間軸，交錯書寫兩段韓信的故事，並同時呈現歌仔戲及現代戲劇兩種戲劇形式。
劇中歷史事件及人物塑造參考大量史料，回歸史實編年，另一方面亦擷取演義小說、傳統老戲的藝術精華，以豐富表演細節。劇情旨在描述貧寒出身的西漢開國大將韓信，獲大臣蕭何、漢王劉邦的賞識而崛起、輝煌，成為無雙國士，但最終卻也因之殞落身死，韓信的生命價值，是否有鳥盡弓藏之外的新詮釋？現代的韓信，面對職場及上司，如何權衡利害，最終又該作何種選擇？

Written in Hokkien, "The One and Only" is a play that combines the embodiment of Taiwanese opera and modern drama. The play starts with a quote from “Huaiyin Hou Biography” of the "Records of the Grand Historian ": "Finding a general is easy. But you have no second chance to find one like Han Xin”. Presented in the forms of both Taiwanese opera and modern drama, it tells two stories of Han Xin in both the (Western) Han Dynasty and the modern time.

The events and characters in the play are created based on historical references and the chronological facts. It also captures the lines of the novels and the essence of the classic plays to enrich the details for stage performing.

Plot:

Born in a poor family, Han Xin’s unmatched talent was recognized by Xiao He (later became the chancellor) and Liu Bang (later became the Emperor Gaozu of Han). As a general, he served Liu Bang during the Chu–Han Contention and contributed greatly to the founding of the Han dynasty. His unparalleled rise and glory eventually leaded to his imminent demise. Does Han’s life have any new interpretation other than the Chinese idiom “Cast aside the bow once the birds are gone “? For modern day’s Han, facing the interests and conflicts in the workplace and the bosses, how does he adjust the balance among each party? How does he make the final choice?
