台灣民間宗教信仰意象與藝術創作之探討

摘要


宗教是一種社會意識形態,是人類社會發展到一定階段的歷史?c象,有其發展和滅亡的客觀規律。宗教在適應人類社會長期發展過程中形成了特有宗教信仰、宗教感情和與此種信仰相適應的宗教理論、教義教規,有嚴格的宗教儀式,有相對固定的宗教活動場所,有嚴密宗教?o織和宗教制度。 因為台灣的地理環境特殊,加上歷史背景的變遷,使我們的宗教文化上有不一樣的信仰特色。 由於中國文化的傳播延伸、日本據台治理,與西方世界的誘發利導,使得台灣早期民間故事與宗教傳承多彩多姿。再加上時間的長期洗禮,百年來(明末清初以後)台灣已發展出本土特有文化特色,致使民間與宗教信仰演化出無限多可能性。 且本研究以台灣宗教的新聞文件為對象,希望能在一般的新聞分類之外,提供讀者更進一步及更直覺的分類方式,也就是將各新聞來源的新聞文件依「事件」群聚,讓使用者能清楚了解社會上目前究竟有哪些事件正在或已經發生事件。 台灣民間宗教信仰是建立在於環境,並與歷史交錯成長。故本論文將從宗教信仰問題,所延伸出社會人文風貌中作其探討。盼望能用不一樣的思考與觀察探求 另類的台灣宗教文化藝術,且提升豐富內涵與深層反思。 本論文內容分為五個章節,在第一章的緒論中,分別說明了本創作研究背景與動機、目的與方法、方法與架構、與研究範圍與限制。第二章為宗教文獻探討與分析,分別介紹台灣宗教信仰相關的認知、台灣民間信仰類別、台灣民間信仰之正視及多元與反思。第三章為創作學理基礎與形式,介紹西方宗教圖像解釋、台灣宗教圖像建立、台灣宗教構思與轉換。第四章為研究創作表現與詮釋,主要介紹創作理念、系列作品創作表現。第五章為本論述結論,介紹宗教道德觀及宗教現代藝術觀,並展望未來創作發展的可能。 關鍵詞: 宗教儀式,宗教文化藝術,台灣民間宗教信仰,圖像解釋。

Religion is a social consciousness and also a historical phenomenon for development of humanity; it has its own objective rhythm of development and extinction. In the process of adapting to long term social development, religion has formed distinct religious beliefs and sentiment, together with religious theories and credos that are coherent with these religious beliefs. There also exist stringent religious rituals, and regular venues for religious gatherings, with strict religious organization and system. Due to Taiwan’s geographical uniqueness and historical background, its religious culture is unique as well. With expansion of Chinese culture, Japanese occupation of Taiwan and Western world’s influence, colorful folklores and religious stories were prevalent in early Taiwan. In addition, through passage of time, Taiwan has developed its unique cultural characteristics over the past century (since end of Ming and beginning of Qing Dynasty), hence religious and folk beliefs evolved with endless possibilities. This study primarily focuses on news material of religions in Taiwan, hoping to provide further instinctive classification other than ordinary news classifications. In other words, the intention is to cluster news materials according to “event”, permitting users to understand clearly what the current happenings in society are, or what has already happened. Taiwanese religious and folk beliefs are created in connection with the surrounding environment, and developed through alterations in history. Therefore, based on the issue of religious belief, this thesis intends to delve into the resultant social and humanity landscape. The objective is to examine the unique religion, culture and art in Taiwan via alternative thinks and observation, and to enhance its richness and provide in-depth self-examination. This dissertation will be divided into 5 chapters; the preface in the first chapter explains the research background, motivation, objective, methodology, structure, research scope and limitations. The second chapter involves respectively: a review and analysis of religious literature, introduction of the awareness of Taiwan’s religious beliefs, types of Taiwanese folk beliefs, examination of diversity of Taiwanese religious belief and self-examination thereof. The third chapter deals with academic foundation and form of the creation, introducing Western religious emblems and establishment of religious emblems in Taiwan, as well as conception and transition of religion in Taiwan. The fourth chapter is the presentation and interpretation of research creation, mainly introducing creative concept and representation of the creative series. The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this dissertation, introducing religious ethics and contemporary religious and art perspectives; potential for future creative development is also explored.
