從數位自造探討個人化作品設計—以參數式設計爲例

摘要


隨著電腦輔助設計的相關技術快速進步,創客時代的到來,數位自造已融入我們生活各方面,而數位應用在設計中已成爲不可或缺的一環。同時,經歷社會與消費經濟的轉變,工業生產已轉變為分工細緻且產線眾多的流水線作業模式。如今,快速製造的工廠產業、數位自造的開放源,雖滿足大眾的需求,卻也導致身邊的產品同質化泛濫,產品本身缺少多樣化和獨特性。 數位應用中「參數式設計 (Parametric Design) 」近年在數位建築領域興起的被認爲是革命性的觀念。本研究以參數式設計為研究方法,通過Leap Motion讓使用者在三度空間自由圖繪的手勢軌跡作爲輸入源,再利用參數式軟體Grasshopper研發設計「個性化3D建模生成器」,處理後輸出具有個人化繪製特色的3D成形數位檔案,再經過數位自造的方式3D列印,讓數位檔案成爲一個獨一無二的有機的造型。使該有機的造型成為一個帶有個人符號的實物,既具有實用價值,同時也具有藝術意義的觀賞性。 本研究不僅讓使用者找到自身與物品直接的情感鏈結,以及經過自身手繪獲得軌跡成型的成就感,同時也呼應了創客時代的數位自造精神,利用數位工具實現個人化製造。最後,值得一提的是國際上罕見把參數式設計結合Leap Motion作個人化創意作品應用,本研究未來的延伸性也很寬廣。

With the rapid advancement of computer-aided design related technologies and the advent of the maker era, digital-making has been integrated into our lives, and digital applications have become an indispensable part of design. But at the same time undergoing social and consumer economic change, the industrial production has transformed into production lines with detailed division of labor and numerous production. Nowadays, although the fast-manufacturing factory industry and DIY-making with open-source, can satisfy the needs of the public, have also led to the proliferation of homogenization of the products, and the products themselves lack diversification and uniqueness. In digital applications, "Parametric Design" is a revolutionary concept and method that has emerged in the field of digital architecture in recent years. This research uses parametric design as the research method, and uses the parametric software Grasshopper to apply the parametric design method to the design of personalized works. By Leap Motion, the users can freely draw the gesture trajectory in the three-dimensional space as the input source of the "personalized 3D modeling generator" we developed in this research. It processes and outputs concrete and personalized digital files, and 3D printer makes the digital files a unique organic form through digital -making methods. The organic form is a physical object with personal symbols, which is both an artwork and a practical product. This research not only allows users to find the direct emotional connection between themselves and their objects and the sense of accomplishment formed by their own hand-drawn trajectories, but also echoes the spirit of digital-making, using digital tools to achieve personalized manufacturing. At present, it is relatively rare to use parametric design combined with Leap Motion to achieve a personalized work, its future extension can be very strong.
