本論文計有五章。第一章〈東夷族與商王朝對先齊文化的影響〉,希望首先釐清在齊國文化出現前,東夷族與商王朝帶來的風俗如何劇烈影響齊地,譬如東夷人擅長於漁獵與畜牧,商王朝則往往會拿人或獸來殉葬先人,這都影響著後來齊國的國風,再者,本章主要通過認識考古發掘與相應的解釋,反駁齊地早在新石器時期就已經有成熟的農業這種說法。第二章〈姜太公封國於齊面臨的處境與應變〉,主要想釐清姜太公因為實施「因其俗,簡其禮」的政策,包容夷與商的文化,並兼顧理想與現實,任人唯賢,不計較出身,從而創造出齊國文化兼容並蓄的特徵。第三章〈地理環境對齊國文化與產業的影響〉,這裡想釐清齊國的地理環境(包括氣候)如何影響齊國的歷史與信仰,並使得齊國因此發展出獨特的工商業,在避免受到「地理環境決定論」的說法影響外,還想認識商周兩大文化如何在齊國交會,從而醞釀出齊學,這裡並間接談到商周天命觀的重大變化。第四章〈兼容並蓄的社會風氣對齊學的醞釀〉,齊國是個夷與夏文化並存的國度,既有嚴格遵循周禮的社會規範,更有很多不同於華夏民族的「奇風異俗」,而面對齊人的生活習慣,齊國的兩大政治領袖,管子與晏子,卻採取截然不同的主張(奢靡與節儉),這只是反映齊國不同時期的現況,體現出齊人徹底務實的態度。第五章〈開明的政治傳統催化稷下學術興起〉,這裡想釐清民主其實可有不同的型態,齊國透過各種制度的落實,體現出中國早期特殊的民主型態,國人有各種直接從政的機會,而田齊政權歷來國君都不斷鼓勵積極發展稷下學宮的講學,由齊威王開始獲得大興,至齊王建完全結束,一百五十年間的歷史,替中國孕育出大量的思想家,更使得齊學產生完整而獨特的思想風格。商文化對上帝的信仰,凝聚出強烈的「血緣天命觀」。周朝取替商朝,則逐漸發展出「德性天命觀」,齊文化繼承後者,卻有著比純粹周文化發展出來的魯學與晉學有著更濃厚對上帝的信仰,雖然其上帝並轉化出「八神主」的系統,或者即使有上帝,其神性都不是一神論的信仰型態,但,比起同樣不是一神論的楚學,齊學又因信仰上帝,而產生更濃厚的真理意識,對掌握宇宙究竟的規律性有著強烈的企圖,但,由於齊文化同樣深受周文化的影響,掌握宇宙究竟的規律性又跟著發展出實用於人事的傾向。這就是齊文化的複雜性。齊國的學術受其文化的哺育,如何透過釐清醞釀齊文化的背景與環境,瞭解齊國的學術為何會發展出真理觀的思維(這個真理觀完全不同於西洋哲學的真理觀),這裡著重於歷史情境的鋪陳與討論,冀圖使齊學的孕育有個清晰的文化輪廓。
Digest My doctoral dissertation wants to discuss how the Shang Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty affected the State of Qi, and the Culture of Qi developed the Learning of creative philosophies, especially in the angles of cosmology and epistemology. Although I want to clearly explain the laws of the Nature in the philosophies, but the doctoral dissertation is a half of my whole study, so it just discuss the source and history of the Culture of Qi. Shang people’s ancestors is Dongyi people. Both of them believed the God, obeyed it to bunsiss their life in many aspects, such as politics, military affairs, diplomacy, marriage and funeral, etc.. Passing many inferences can confirm that they have the consciousness of the Truth. Qi people is affected upon the Culture of Shang. When the founder of Qi, Jiang Tai-gong (or called the Great-grandfather), set the settlement in Qi, he selected merciful and tolerate policies to govern Dongyi people, so that the State of Qi had the opportunity to include in the Culture of Shang and Zhou and monopolize them. The governing class of Qi wanted to develop a strong country, they encouraged many literati and officialdom who came from foreign countries to join their government. The kings of Qi built a Great Academy to develop many studies. The Great Academy is called Jixia. From generation to generation, many philosophers were breed in it. The doctoral dissertation also wants to deal with the history of all the details of Jixia in the period of the Warring States.
