摘要


近年白光LED效率不斷提升,廠商已經出現許多高流明的白光LED,在許多照明應用上有較傳統光源更佳的優點。本研究以白光LED在特殊照明的應用上發展,對兩種應用需求不同的照明領域作設計。 其一應用為偏極光的LED光源製作,不像以往LED設計,只對於出光效率或出光角度作設計而已,本設計另外加上出光的偏極化能力提升。並且將這種裝置設計到直下式背光模組應用上,其光型需要使被照平面均勻,偏極光的使用率也要高出一般LED直下式背光模組。本論文完成兩種偏極化裝置設計,第一種使用DBEF當作偏振元件,第二種使用金屬柵偏振片當作偏振元件設計,其中第一種類型完成製作及量測。 另一應用為無影燈的反射曲面設計,減少醫療人員在醫療行為造成的陰影,在無影燈上使用白光LED的優點,多於傳統燈源。由於是醫療用照明,所以本研究將以牙醫燈ISO 9640規範作為設計目標。無影燈方面也完成兩種設計,第一種使用多種類LED混光當光源做設計基礎,第二種使用單種類LED當作光源做設計基礎,其中第二種無影燈設計完成製作和量測。 設計和模擬上均以非序列光學模擬軟體LightTools為主。研究除了一般照明應用上所需要的光度學外,也需考慮到演色性的計算。

The efficiency of white light LED has been improved progressively in recently years. Many high lumen white light LED have been announced, it can be competitive to convention light source. These works show special illumination applications using LED. This thesis proposed two different designs for individual applications in illumination. The design of polarized light source is not same as conventional design for general LED source. The conventional design may be only focused on extraction efficiency or angular emission profile, this design extra improves the utilization efficiency of polarized light. This design is also applied for LED direct type backlight module. The angular profile of light source makes the illumination of target plane uniform, and the utilization efficiency of polarized light is higher than general LED light source in direct type backlight module. This thesis has been completed for designing two kinds of polarized LED modules. The first design uses DBEF as polarization component in module; the second design uses wire-grid polarizer. The first design has been fabricated and measured. The other lighting design is used in shadow-free illumination. The advantages of shadow-free illumination using LED are better than conventional light bulb. Because it is medical application, the design complies with ISO 9640. This thesis has been also completed for designing two kinds of dental lightings in shadow-free illumination field. The first design uses many LED types for light sources; the second design uses one LED type. The second design has been fabricated and measured. LightTools is the major non-sequential software used for design and simulation. This work uses not only photometry, but also calculation of color rendering index.
