ABSTRACT Social aging proceeds in Japan. Many people in the world worried that Japanese visitors will decrease in the future, and it cause decrease of their income. But as aging proceeds, an interesting phenomenon proceeds at the same time. That phenomenon is the change of seniors’ mindset and life style. This change may increase number of Japanese senior visitors. Will number of Japanese visitors decrease in the future? I will discuss about this theme. Social aging will progress, and portion of senior travelers should increase. But, do travel agencies and destination marketers understand the new seniors' taste properly? Are packages’ designing philosophies of such travel products suit new seniors' taste? How are long stay products? I investigate this theme. I analyze the comment of Taiwan Long Stay Development Association and Taiwanese travel agencies that tied up cooperation with Japanese Major travel agencies, and analyze the statistical data researched by Japan Travel Bureau Foundation and Japan National Tourist Organization to support these analyses. I investigate Japanese society aging will have negative influence on senior Japanese travel behavior or not. After that, I propose what are inevitable improvements to acquire more Japanese senior travelers and long stay visitors.
