以近紫外光雷射設計、製造長週期光纖光柵及其應用

摘要


光纖光柵具濾波及感測的功能,在最近幾年,普遍運用在 摘 要 光纖通訊和光纖感測上。尤其對於光纖光源中心波長隨溫度改變之補償具有其特別的功能。由於高功率脈衝雷射不易控制,且為了能精準的製作長週期光纖光柵,本實驗採用溫和且較易控制、功率較低、波長較長之連續式氦鎘雷射為曝曬光源,以取代一般研究報告常用之高功率準分子雷射。並以逐點曝曬方式成功製成長週期光纖光柵,對長週期光纖光柵的特性作探討,且利用光纖光柵設計軟體及CODE V光學設計程式,分別對光纖光柵特性與曝曬光源聚焦最佳位置作模擬並驗證。最後並設計符合特殊用途之光纖光柵包裝方式,使得長週期光纖光柵得以實際應用。

Fiber grating, as an electro-optic component, has been widely used as sensors, filters and in communication devices. Especially, the long-period fiber grating has been proved to be a useful component for source stabilization. In this work, the LPG was fabricated by “point by point” exposure of the dual band 325/442 nm, continuous wave He-Cd laser, substituting the conventional high power excimer laser with 248 nm. The spectral characteristics of the fiber grating, which are correlated to the parameters, such as the refraction change index, grating period, exposure time, and length, has been throughly studied. Moreover, the IFO-Gratings software was used for the design of LPGs and CODE V software has been used to optimize optical instrumentation for producing the LPGs. Lastly, the compact package of LPGs has been proposed and applied in stabilization of fiber light sources.
