近年來由於科技之進步,使得數位擷像設備與資料庫已經廣泛地應用於醫學領域中。現今除一般病歷資料,具備文字檔案格式外,另一種專屬、影像及多媒體形式的醫學資料庫,已成為世界醫學領域重要研究之一。 在文獻中,有許多應用於心電圖、乳部腫瘤及腦腫瘤疾病的報告。但少有結合各種性質不同但功能互補之神經影像造影於腦腫瘤鑑別診斷及惡性分級的研究。因此,本研究將結合功能性磁振影像與功能性正子斷層影像,對腦腫瘤進行分級並整合於網路多媒體資料庫為目標,達到輔助對腦腫瘤之臨床診斷與研究分析之目的。 本研究之主題,乃在於應用網際網路和資料庫系統整合技術,使發展中的腦腫瘤臨床診斷相關量測系統具有網路化的資訊處理能力,不僅能使量測資料藉由醫療網路即時傳輸至多媒體資料庫進行分析整合,更能輔助遠端醫療會診。藉由本系統規劃及建置過程,實作多媒體資料庫存取、網路通訊介面及多層式主從網路系統架構整合等主題,並徹底了解多媒體資料庫系統的運作方式及各系統之間所扮演的角色。 最後,期望能透過本研究成果,建立一套完整的『多媒體醫療資訊網路系統』與『亞洲人之腦腫瘤病例資料庫』。使得醫療資訊能透過全球資訊網(WWW)之應用,達到即時化、系統化、網路化及普遍化之目的,以全面提昇醫療品質,並協助產業界提高研發醫療產品之能力,降低進口依存,達到產學合作之目的。
Future medical centers will consist of multiple picture archiving and communication systems serving local needs of different specialty sections and departments. This distribution of brain tumor multimedia system will require high performance and high security to ensure effective communication and reliable services. The Internet is widely accepted as one of the most popular high-tech topics today. It has emerged from the academic and research institutions to become a de facto component of the “Information Highway.” The technology, which has triggered all of these activities, is the World Wide Web. It is a simple but powerful implementation of client/server system using a highly open, distributed, cooperative approach. This research proposes the design and implementation of a multimedia medical network system by integrating the World Wide Web and multimedia database technologies on multi-modality functional images. The main issues of the study will focus on Graphic User Interface, Medical Network Communication, and Multimedia Database with Data Mining. The goal of this research is an implementation of brain tumor database system which can have an appropriate networking technology to integrate individual systems and their services seamlessly. Four subsystems will be implemented in the proposed Multimedia Brain Tumor Database System. 1. Intelligent WWW Browser 2. Network Management System 3. Multimedia Database Access System 4. Multimedia Database Management System It is strongly believed that the success of this project will greatly help physicians to make a positive contribution to human welfare.
