由於教育部於九十一年三月曾提出:電子書將納入教科書形式,教師可運用此新型態書籍於教學中,因此,未來學童使用的教科書將出現電子書的形式,「電子童書」將成為今後兒童閱讀的重要資訊產物。然而電子童書較傳統童書複雜之多媒體閱讀環境,兒童可能衍生一些閱讀問題而導致負面的閱讀態度。目前國內與電子書相關的研究大都著重於技術、軟體研究,以及僅強調針對成人使用者的閱讀行為或動機研究,較缺乏針對兒童閱讀或與電子童書之相關研究。國外學者針對閱讀問題時,多半從介面設計著手,而介面的構成要素中,圖像又是扮演著影響閱讀成功與否的關鍵。 本研究主要以問卷調查法探討兒童對不同介面圖像設計形式之電子童書閱讀態度,並以單因子變異數分析其閱讀態度評量結果;此外,輔以訪談法歸納出適合兒童閱讀之電子童書介面圖像設計原則;最後,則依據此原則發展與設計一套適用兒童之電子童書。本研究結果發現:電子童書介面圖像設計形式為圖形+文字+語音組之受測者,其閱讀態度優於介面圖像設計形式為圖形+語音組及圖形+文字組之受測者;此外,根據研究結果亦歸納出電子童書介面圖像設計14項參考原則,並將其應用於「蛇郎君」電子童書實例創作中,期待本研究結果與創作作品能提供教師、父母或相關設計人員未來之參考。
The Ministry of Education on March 2002 that electronic announced books will become part of textbooks for school, instructors are able to utilize this form of books in the study curriculum. Therefore, in the near future, the textbooks used by the students may be in the form of electronic books, and "electronic children's books" will become one of the necessity for children's reading soon. However, in the environment over floored with varies multimedia for the electronic children’s books, it may cause a negative reading attitude for the children and misguides the children to the wrong direction. Currently the domestic research mainly focuses on the software technology and the reading behaviors or motives for the adults, which lack of study on children’s reading and related works of electronic children’s book. Many foreign researches mainly concentrate on the interface design, and of which the structural elements in the interface design, with the icon design playing an influential role in determining the success or failure of the reading result. The major method of this research carries the questionnaire survey. Children’s reading attitude toward electronic children’s books with different interface icon designs as well as their reading attitude are evaluated accordingly. This research uses the One-Way ANOVA analysis to find results of children’s reading attitude. Besides, suitable electronic children’s books are developed based on the interface icon design principles with the aid of conversation with the children, and eventually develop and implement the suitable icon design for the electronic children’s books according to the above principle. According to the finding of this research, the electronic children's book based on the combination of graphic + vocal and graphic + text is more effective than graphic + text + vocal alone. In addition, complying with the research results, we propose 14 guidelines for the icon design, which are implemented in the real life electronic children book called "Mr. Snake Man". This research expects that the results of this study and the example are able to provide the valuable information and guidance to the instructors, parents, and associated developers.
