針對過去學者所提出之文獻,可以發現在過度自信及風險態度之文獻,都提及男性較女性為過度自信及風險愛好者,但也有部份學者提出不同的看法,認為男性與女性在過度自信上及風險態度並無明顯差異。本文認為台灣女性會因傳統社會刻板印象造就的女性特質,在決策過程受其女性特質所影響,因此,女性在風險態度上趨於保守及自信程度較男性為低,故本研究探討穩健性與台灣上市(櫃)公司之女性會計主管間關聯性。 本文在實證模型上分別採用Khan and Watts(2009)的C-Score指標及Basu (1997)所提出盈餘不對稱時效性模型分別進行分析且進行刪除極端值,分別刪除平均值正負三倍標準差以外之觀察值與Heckman二階段估計法的穩健性測試。實證結果均顯示,2013年台灣上市(櫃)企業會計盈餘穩健性並未因會計主管性別而有顯著差異。
Form the previous literature, we can find the literature of overconfidence and risk attitude. Those studies documented that men are more overconfident and risky than women. Some scholars possess the different views. This paper argues that women in Taiwan differ from men in the decision-making process due to the traditional social stereotypes of femininity. This paper expects that female CFO tent to be more conservative than male CFO and investigates the relation between conservatism and female executives in Taiwan public Co. This paper uses Khan and Watts(2009)C Score model and Basu (1997)Asymmetric timeliness of earnings model. This paper also conducts some robust tests, such as delete the extreme values outside the mean plus or minus three times the standard value, employ Heckman two stage estimation method to deal with endogeneity problem .The empirical results indicate that the accounting information conservatism of 2013 Taiwan public Co. is not effected by CFO gender.
