The purpose of the study aims to figure out various approaches of solving algebra questions on high school math teacher screening test.Several problemsolving techniques and thinking models have been adopted. They are known as variable substitution, algebraic substitution, mathematical induction, analogy reduction, Dismantling pairing, transform, fundamental practice and diagram. Most of the questions can be solved without any hesitation. However, certain questions can be finally figured out by these thinking models. In formulating the questions and answers, it is possible for teachers to enhance their teaching ability. Moreover, it provides better understanding for students. It is expected that the research on the problem-solving methods will bring positive mathematical learning for both teachers and students.
