Traditional light source for bio-medicine investigation is xenon lamp which has broadband spectrum and the relative intensity of each wavelength is consistent. Due to the lifetime is short and energy-consuming of the xenon lamp, this study used color mixing from multi-wavelength light emitting diodes (LEDs) to replace the xenon lamp as a light source since the LEDs have variable wavelength from UV to IR, long lifetime, and low energy, consumption. The light interference from LEDs may be destroyed through the light transmission, reflection and scattering at each optical components. Finally, a white light source with broadband spectrum and nearly light intensity was successfully built.
