網路學習歷程分析應用於提升學習動機之研究

摘要


由於網路相關技術發展快速,透過網路學習成為一種趨勢,網路學習除了輔助傳統課堂教學,也成為遠距學習主要工具。目前已有許多探討網路學習成效及其與學生學習活動關聯的研究,本研究進一步地探討應用線上學習歷程於提升學生學習與改善教學策略的應用可能性。 學習歷程是由許多維度資料組成,如學生登入系統次數、線上閱讀時間、參與討論次數等。本研究提出一種學習行為計分方式,透過學習歷程資料分析,利用主成份分析找出各學習行為差異性及互相影響程度,給予適當的權重,進而計算學生線上學習分數。線上學習分數的目的在將學生線上行為量化,用以代表其線上行為的成就。 本論文透過以下兩個研究方法,嘗試找出線上學習計分的參考價值。首先,透過線上學習分數找出表現不佳之學生名單,於適當的時機發出警訊,希望能有助於提升其網路學習動機與線上學習活動,並期待能改善其學習成就。同時探討其他因素對學生學習活動的影響,如教師線上經營積極度及課程屬性等。另一部分,本論文將探討線上行為計分與學習成就的關聯,以線上學習分數與學習成績作關聯檢定,觀察線上學習行為與學習成就相關係數,了解教師是否可以把線上學習分數作為評量學生學習成就的一項重要參考指標。 研究結果顯示,線上學習分數與學習成就有正相關,同時,警訊能有效提升學生線上學習活動成效。因此,藉由線上學習分數應能找出需要幫助的學生,進而協助教師提升其學習成就。

As a result of popular and growth of Internet technology, the trend of learning via Internet is formed. E-Learning is not only an aid of traditional classroom but main solution of distance learning. There are researches discussed the relationship between the achievement and the learning activities of Internet. Further discussions such as applying the learning portfolio to promote students’ learning achievement and adjust the teaching strategy are also very popular. Online learning portfolio comprises many components such as login times, duration of reading learning materials, on-line discussion times etc. This thesis proposed an online learning activities evaluation methodology which apply the principle component analysis to find the major factors among these learning activities. Furthermore, these factors are given corresponding weight scores to calculate a score. The score represents the student’s online learning achievement. This thesis tried to prove the efficiency of calculation of online learning achievement via two major strategies. First of all, find out those students whose online learning activities are negative via the calculation of online learning achievement. By sending SMS to those students’ cell phones, to help students understand their own online learning situation and make students to adjust or promote the degree of learning activities. The factors which might affect students’ learning activities such as the attribute of curricular, teachers’ attitude toward E-Learning are also discussed in this part. Second, this thesis checked the correlationship of the students’ online achievement and traditional learning achievement. Furthermore, the possibility of taking the online learning achievement as a reference of evaluation students’ learning achievement is discussed. According to the experiments, the result of relationship between online learning activities and traditional learning achievement is positive. And the SMS service did help the students to promote their learning activities and motivation. The conclusion of this study is the calculation of online learning achievement can find those students who behaved negative toward E-Learning. On the other hand, it can provide teachers means to help those students efficiently on E-Learning environment.
