宋代連續性紋樣造形與編組模式之研究

摘要


在眾多視覺表現形式之中,紋樣造形不需過度考量繪畫的藝術性,也不必拘泥於文字的章法,為實用性與泛用性極高的表現形式。今日紋樣多以器物形態予以分類,而紋樣卻跨越器物種類,呈現在各種器物與建築之上,甚至廣及織品與印刷等平面形式。宋代工藝與美術為中華文化發展卓越之時期,本研究以加值應用性較高之宋代連續性紋樣中的幾何紋與植物紋為研究樣本,藉由西方發展、應用於紋樣設計的十七種模組,探討並分析宋代古典紋樣造形與編組之視覺效果,以做為未來應用於織品與印刷等設計相關產業之參考,為我國的文化創意產業開拓另一個嶄新的發展方向。本研究發現宋代連續性紋樣之應用,以單純的造形反複與高度的對稱性模組為主,與當時典雅細緻的裝飾風格互相呼應,亦與當時的技術和偏好有關,其單位造形皆有一定的特徵與視覺微調的豐富性。連續性紋樣的視覺效果雖予人千變萬化的感受,但仍有特定的編組模式可循,而且無論是現今市場上國際精品品牌的商品式樣,或是傳統古典連續性紋樣的再設計,皆涵蓋在此一設計方法之中。設計端與生產端若能適切的發展與應用,此一研究成果將有助於設計與生產效能之提升。

Of many visual expressive forms, ornaments are the more applicable and exclusive forms in which artistry and character presentations are less regarded. The ornaments are the most commonly used not only in the past but also nowadays. Ornaments today are classified according to the shapes of utensils applied upon. Nonetheless, ornamental patterns are also used in architecture, textile and publishing, and in various types of prints. As one of the major indices of the cultural industry, this study attempt to investigate the characteristics of functionality and forms of classical ornaments systematically. Moreover, adopting the western methodology for forms, a variety of symmetry models of ornaments will be developed, providing references to design researchers in culture, publishing, textile and related industries. By this, the anticipated added-values of classical ornaments are best displayed. The arts and crafts of Sung dynasty were most distinguished in Chinese culture; hence, this study concentrates on the geometrical and plant patterns in continuous ornaments of Sung dynasty. Based on seventeen symmetrical models developed in western, this study attempted to analyze and model the visual effects of eastern classical ornamental forms and groupings. However this inference shows that the applications to the ornaments are two obvious features. Only repetition without any symmetry is one of the characteristics and the other is quadrangular symmetry. And there are certain characteristics and complexity on the individual form. Though the form of the ornaments are complicated to people, this study is able to figure out the model of the continuity. Not only the old style things but also some famous international brands use this way to design their products. To make it more efficient with mass production, it’s able to be predicted by designers through these useful models.
