使用Portlet建構符合SCORM標準之數位學習格網入口

摘要


隨著網際網路的快速發展,知識傳遞速度已不可同日而語,傳統的學校教育方式也產生重大變革,例如能突破時間與空間限制的數位學習(e-Learning)近年來已成為非常受歡迎的教學方式之ㄧ。然而對於現今數位學習系統的一項關鍵挑戰為:有效並無接縫地(seamlessly)整合這些數位學習管理系統,並提供一開放式、統一及跨平台的數位學習Portal系統。雖然一些以XML為基礎的標準像是SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Model)、IMS(Instructional Management Systems)及ULF(Universal Learning Format)都已提出並定義學習物件的特徵並且使得學習物件的交流變得容易,但因為每一平台間架構上的獨立性以致於分散在各平台上的學習系統元件仍舊難以彼此溝通。因此可以利用格網服務 (Grid Services)的技術與架構找出一個跨數位學習平台的整合方案。 本研究提出一個使用Portlet建構符合SCORM標準之數位學習格網入口(A SCORM-Compliant e-Learning Grid Portal by Portlet, SCLGP),藉此來解決異質數位學習平台資源整合的問題,在這個環境中使用者可以透過一個統一的Portal入口網站來提出數位學習的需求,透過基於Portlet的框架,可以讓使用者訂製自己想要學習的數位學習服務。而系統將會動態創建出符合使用者的需求服務,呈現學習的內容以及提供一個安全的執行環境。 在系統實作上,我們使用教材編輯工具軟體來製作符合SCORM標準的學習物件以及取得學習管理系統(Learning Management System, LMS)既有之符合SCORM標準學習物件的方式,在利用格網服務的技術與架構透過格網入口(Grid Poatal)來整合與管理異質系統環境下的學習物件。並使用GT4 當成格網引擎,負責學習物件的註冊、發佈以及佈署。同樣的資源可分別被不同的服務來同時取用,因此可以整合分散的數位學習資源,動態地存取分散於各地的學習物件,達成各學習平台上的內容共享與協同合作。而未來研究方向則可以加入語意格網(Semantic Grid)的概念來提供使用者更加友善的學習服務。

As the fast development of the Internet, the delivery speed of knowledge is out of the ordinary. Therefore traditional education is getting changed. e-Learning, that is no limitation of the time and the area, and one of the very popular educations of nowadays. The main challenge of e-Learning is how to integrate the Learning management systems(LMSs)more effectively and seamlessly, and it can be an e-Learning Portal system that provides an open, integrated and cross-platform. SCORM and ULF are some of standards based on XML; they already have definitions of the characteristic of the learning objects that also made the exchange of the learning objects easier. The communications of the learning objects still have some difficulty because of the independent character on each platform. That is why we can develop an integrated e-Learning platform with the grid services and framework. The study is to establish an SCORM-Compliant e-Learning Grid Portal by Portlet(SCLGP). It can solve the resource integrated problems among different kinds of e-Learning LMSs. Users can have e-Learning requests through the integrated Portal site. Base on Portlet framework, users can make their own e-Learning services. The system will create a service request for users dynamically, then present a learning content and provide a safe executive condition. In system implementation, we used the teaching materials edited tool to develop learning objects that are based on SCORM standard, and to get the learning management system that has learning objects are based on SCORM already. Then integrate and manage the learning objects on different kinds of systems with Grid Services and Grid Portal technology . The system took GT4 to be a Grid Portal searching engine to register, publish and dispose the learning objects. The same resources can be retrieved at the same time by different a service, that means the e-Learning resources can be integrated by the system, and retrieve the distributed resources dynamically from anywhere. The system develops a platform that can share the content and work in coordination. For the further study, the system can have Semantic Grid to provide users to have more friendly learning services.
