台中市水堀頭地方感與文化景觀之探究

地方是空間，是生活方式，是情感，是價值與歸屬，本研究以台中市工業區與中部科學園區所圍塑及其周邊地景為例，回溯西屯區水堀頭從荷西時期、清領時期、日治時期至國民政府時期的產業變遷與地方形貌，水堀頭的產業反映了台灣的產業變化之縮影，從引水灌溉的水田景觀，到工業區的設立，形成了商業聚集，中部科學園區的建置，商業範圍擴散至鄰近各區，使得沿街式店家聚集為商圈，再到區塊式的整體商業開發案及大型建案的設置，水堀頭區域地景的快速變化，同時對照出原有文化景觀之樣貌，以此探討水堀頭區域地方感知與意象之轉化，以反應地方感與場所精神的要意。產業結構的轉型及消費地景新舊紛陳下的空間轉變型態，面對水堀頭地區近年來人口遷移與社會結構的轉變、消費地景的拔地而生，透過資本與產業結構的轉型及消費地景新舊紛陳下的空間轉變型態，一窺都市的多變性與都市經驗的斷裂性，對地方認同的遺缺，經過文化再認識、社區交流、都市意象，形成新住民抓取地方歸屬感的支點，由此可探看台灣近幾十年來在各地新舊空間錯落紛雜的異質樣貌，並重新反思人與土地的關係。

Place is the space、lifestyle、bonding、value and is the sense of belonging. This study take surrounding landscape of Taichung Industrial Park and Central Taiwan Science Park for example which trace the transition of industry and the region development of Xitun District,Shuikutou back to The Dutch and Spanish Era、 The Qing Dynasty Era、The Japan Era and The Nationalist Era of China. The industry of Shuikutou represents the transition of industry of Taiwan. Change from irrigated land to the foundation of industrial zone conglomerates commercial activity and spread to neighborhood which form the trading area with the foundation of Taichung Industrial Park. It also promotes block-based commerce development projects and the set of large-scale construction plan. We explore sense of place and the change of image in Shuikutou area by comparing rapid change of landscape in Shuikutou to the original appearance of cultural landscape. Migration of population,transit of social structure and formation of consumptionscape change the place through the transformation of industrial and capital structure and cause the variability of city、discontinuity of urban experience and the lack of local identity. New inhabitant find local sense of belonging through community exchange and re-understanding of culture and image of city. This study explores different appearance of Taiwan combined by old and new buildings in several decades and introspects the connection between human and land.
