iF Award得獎作品之構成因素-以3C資訊產品為例

摘要


電子工業為台灣第一大主力產業,其上、中、下游體系配合密切,產業供應鏈完整,並已產生群聚效應,電子產業結構從過去的製造代工(OEM)到設計代工(ODM)再到目前發展自有品牌(OBM);產業的優勢也從台灣製造(MIT,Made in Taiwan)轉為台灣設計(DIT,Designed in Taiwan),在面對國際產業的競爭,運用台灣本身既有的優勢,培植自身研發及設計能力,建構附加價值的產業發展環境實為重要。2003年世界銀行發表了一項數字:未來三十年,全球人才最大的缺口之一,將會在於設計、創意的人才,短缺幅度可能達到各國企業總需求量的三成以上。 本研究以國際四大設計競賽之一,具有工業設計奧斯卡獎之稱—德國iF獎為研究對象,探討近三年iF獎設計特質之因素、結構及內容意涵,以獲金獎之產品設計類3C資訊產品為研究樣本,採用紮根理論進行文本分析,透過NVivo 8質性分析軟體將獲獎的優良產品特質歸納出設計思維與設計執行2大設計面向與12項構面,並藉由與iF官方的11項評審標準進行比較與驗證。歸納出一件好的資訊產品在設計上最需著重的4個面向分別為:產品本身的「功能性」、人性化使用的「通用設計」、具備造型美學的「製作工藝」設計及產品軟硬體的「創新程度」。而在未來整體3C資訊產業的設計發展思維與方向,則是朝向「德國設計風格」、「產品設計簡單化」與「通用設計」的發展形式。 本研究期藉由得獎作品設計特質及構成因素的分析,提供企業及設計師做為產品設計時的參考,除增加國際設計競爭上的助益外,也期望對產品銷售、品牌價值提升及擴展設計師視野等方面有所幫助。

As main industry in Taiwan, the electronics industry’s upper, middle and lower streams coordinate closely and its supply chain is complete. It has created cluster effect. The electronics industry structure upgrades from OEM to ODM, then to OBM. Its advantage also turns MIT(Made in Taiwan) into DIT(Designed in Taiwan). In the face of international competition in the industry, it is very important to use Taiwan’s electronics industry advantage to cultivate R&D and design capabilities, and to construct a more value-added industrial development environment. According to the data of World Bank, in the next thirty years, the largest shortage of talent will be design and creative talent. The talent lack will be over 30% of the demand of enterprises worldwide. This research takes German iF award which is called Oscar award in industrial design, one of four main international industrial design competition, as the study object to discuss the factors, structure and content of the design characteristics of iF award for the past threes years. The study uses 3C products which win iF gold awards as research samples and uses the grounded theory as approach to do textual analysis. By using NVivo 8, a qualitative data analysis software, to analyze the iF award products, the research concludes two dimensions and twelve perspectives of design thinking and design implementation. These dimensions and perspectives are compared with and verified by 11 criteria of iF award appraisal. It inducts that good IT product design needs four important dimensions: functionality of product, universal design for user-friendly, industrial design with aesthetics of style, degree of software and hardware innovation. The design thinking and trend of the future 3C products will direct to “German design style”, “design simplification” and “universal design”. By analyzing design characteristics and factors of products which win the award, this research expects to provide reference of product design for local enterprises and designers in order to enhance design competence to compete worldwide. In addition, this study also hopes it is helpful to product sale, brand value increase and to broaden designer’s view.
