科技輔助教學融入國小高年級全英語課程之行動研究

An Action Research of Technology-Assisted Instruction Integrating into English as a Medium of Instruction Course for Senior Grade in an Elementary School

摘要


本研究旨在有效運用科技輔助融入國小英語課程之教學策略之探討,以提升國小高年級學生英語學習動機,進而有效增進學習效果。 研究者為桃園市中壢區忠心(研究化名)國小教師,研究對象為國民小學六年級學生,共83位。教學內容以何嘉仁出版社E-Star之教材主題進行設計,每單元之內容依據Vygotsky鷹架理論進行教案編寫,並於教學活動中融入全英語教學策略及科技學習工具。 本研究為行動研究,主要採用文獻分析、測驗評量、教學觀察及訪問調查等方法。所得資料除了進行文字歸納整理及分析外,並進行單元評量及前後測分數比較。結果發現: 一、運用全英語教學策略進行教學,可以有效提升高年級學生英語聽力及閱讀 之學習成效。 二、應用科技工具輔助高年級之英語學習,可以提高學生英語學習動機,改變 學習行為。 三、因材網等數位多元學習媒材之融入,可以提升學生聽力與閱讀之能力,並 培養自主學習的習慣。 四、科技工具輔助學習,可以提高學生之學習動機及學習專注力。 五、使用多元評量方法,學生學習歷程表現之回饋,對教師教學具有引導及參 考價值。

The purpose of this research is to use technology effectively to assist English curriculum of senior grade in elementary school. Adopting the English as a Medium of Instruction teaching strategies to improve students’ English learning motivation and effectiveness. The researcher is the teacher of Zhongxin (research pseudonym) elementary school in Taoyuan City and there are 83 research objects of sixth-grade students in elementary school. The teaching content is designed with the theme of the Hess Publisher, E-Star, textbook and the content of each unit is compiled with Vygotsky Scaffolding theory. Besides, the researcher adopts EMI learning strategies with technology to improve students’ learning motivation. This research is an action research. Using the methods of the literature analysis, test evaluation, teaching observation and interview survey. In addition to textual summarization and analysis, the obtained data are also subjected to unit evaluation and comparison of pre- and post-test scores. As result of the research: 1. Teaching with EMI learning strategies can improve senior students’ listening and reading abilities effectively. 2. The application of technology to assist English learning in senior grades can improve students' English learning motivation and enhance their learning behavior. 3. The integration of digital multi-learning media on Adaptive Learning Website can improve students' listening and reading abilities, and cultivate the habit of independent learning. 4. Assisted learning with technological tools can improve students' learning motivation and concentration. 5. Involving multiple evaluation methods to gain the feedback of students' learning process, Those can be a teaching guide and reference for teachers.
