本論文以不同型態與比例的氫氧化鋁(Aluminum trihydroxide, ATH)粉體,以聚丁二酸丁二酯(Polybutylene succinate, PBS)作為主體進行混掺,製備聚丁二酸丁二酯/氫氧化鋁複合材料。 利用熱重分析儀(Thermo gravimetric analyzer, TGA)、微差掃描熱分析儀(Differential Scanning Calorimeter, DSC)來探討PBS/ATH的熱性質,PBS/ATH的機械性質與難燃性質是以拉升試驗儀(ASTM D790)和垂直燃燒試驗法(UL-94標準方法)來進行測試。 實驗結果得到PBS/ATH複合材料隨著混摻ATH比例增加,熱性質中的裂解溫度(decomposition temperature ,Td)隨著下降,是因為加熱時釋放出結晶水,導致重量急速下降。但是在此研究中,經過DSC分析後發現Tg與Tm並無明顯改變。隨著ATH混摻比例增加,機械性質中的彈性彎曲係數隨著提高。傳統複合材料如聚乙烯(Polyethylene ,PE)和(Polystyrene ,PS)必須要混摻50% ATH,才能有好的難燃性質。在此研究中證實,PBS/ATH複合材料只需要混摻40% ATH即可達到難燃的最高等級(UL-94V0)。
In this study, polybutylene succinate/aluminum trihydroxides composite materials(PBS/ATH) were prepared by different type and ratio of aluminum trihydroxide powder, blended into polybutylene succinate matrix. The thermal stabilities of PBS/ATH were studied by thermo gravimetric analyzer (TGA), differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). The mechanical and fire-retardant properties of PBS/ATH was tested by Universal testing machine (ASTM D790) and flame retardant (UL94 standard) . The results revealed that the addition of ATH decreased thermal properties (decomposition temperature , Td) of PBS/ATH composite materials, because releasing moisture its weight was decreased. But their Tg and Tm were not changed in this study. In addition , its mechanical properties, flexural modulus was enhanced by the addition of ATH. The addition 50% ATH is needed in traditional composite material such as Polyethylene (PE) and Polystyrene (PS), in order to achieve a good flame retard ability. The PBS/ATH composite material in the study proved a good flame retard ability (UL 94-V0) when it contained only 40% of ATH.
