以苯胺五聚體改質天然黏土後摻混於聚乙烯/醋酸乙烯高分子之製程開發與性質研究

Development and Properties of Polyethylene and Ethylene-co-vinyl acetate Copolymer Nanocomposites blending with Pentamerous oligo-aniline modified clays

摘要


本研究選用天然純化蒙脫土(Clay),以質子化之苯胺五聚體(Pentamerous oligo-aniline, POA)進行改質,並利用微型雙螺桿熔融混煉機將市售之聚乙烯與乙烯醋酸乙烯製備成聚乙烯奈米複材,以熱壓方式製備薄膜進而評估其各項性質。 結果顯示,聚乙烯/乙烯醋酸乙烯奈米複材之拉伸強度最高可提升24.11%;複材耐熱性之熱裂解溫度可以提升50 ℃;而導電性質的方面,電阻率可降低至2.43 x 1010 Ωcm。 本研究後半將具有最佳機械性質與熱性質的複合材料進行阻氣、耐老化及耐刮性測試。結果發現,添加改質型天然黏土之聚乙烯/乙烯醋酸乙烯高分子其阻氣性質氧氣部分可以提升1.2倍,氮氣部分可以提升1.1倍;耐老化測試部分,未加改質型天然黏土之聚乙烯/乙烯醋酸乙烯高分子,其儲存模數降低12.82 %,而添加改質型天然黏土之後儲存模數由3231 Mpa降低至2894 Mpa,下降10.40 %,與未添加改質型黏土之高分子薄膜相比較提升了2.42 %;耐刮性測試部分,以最佳比例之奈米級複合材料測試其鉛筆硬度,硬度可以至4B提升至HB。

In this study, we utilized N-aminophenyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine(POA) to modify the montmorillonite (clay) which is purified from nature. Then commercial Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and ethylene-co-vinyl acetate( EVA )were used to prepare polyethylene (PE) nanocomposites by means of micro-compounder melt avenue. The PE nanocomposites are as well fabricated as thin films by hot pressure method. Their mechanical properties, thermal stability as well as conductivity are evaluated subsequently. The results show that tensile strength of thePE/EVAnanocomposites was increased 24.11%; andthe T5d, 50 ℃;nevertheless the conductivity can be reduced to 2.43 x 1010 Ωcm.The nanocomposite film with the best tensile strength andthe T5d would be investigated thepermeability, storage modulusand scratch resistance testing.The gas permeability of PE/EVA nanocomposites was significantly reduced:the oxygen barrer was increased to 1.2, and the nitrogen barrer, to1.1.For storage modulus, the storage modulus of PE/EVA polymer was reduced 12.82% as the non-modified montmorillonite while after adding the modifiedmontmorillonite into the PE/EVA polymer, the storage modulus was decreased from 3231 Mpa to 2894 Mpa, barely ca.10.40% decrease. As compared with PE/EVA with non-modified montmorillonite, the PE/EVA/modified montmorillonite nanocomposites was upgradedapproximately 2.42 %.In scratch resistance testing,the best hardness of the nanocomposites can be ameliorated from 4B to HB.
