The purpose of the present study is to investigate the price elasticity of demand for the real estate – housing, commerce office, and raw land – by analyzing the data from the real estate actual price registration system of Taiwan. The present study researched the actual price registration data of the real estate in Taiwan’s six special municipalities from 2012 to 2014. There are three findings reported in the present study. Frist, we found the price elasticity of demand for the real estate in Northern Taiwan was higher than Central and Southern Taiwan. Among Northern special municipalities, the price elasticity of demand for the real estate is the lowest in Taipei. Second, the range of price elasticity of higher-priced housing is wider than lower-priced housing. Finally, the price elasticity of demand rank from high to low as the following order – housing, commerce office, and raw land.
