公共圖書館員資訊素養與專業成長關係之研究

A Study of the Relationship between Information Literacy and the Professional Growth of Public Librarians

摘要


本研究指在探討公共圖書館員資訊素養與專業成長之關係。本研究之研究目的有五點:(一)瞭解目前公共圖書館館員資訊素養和專業成長的現況。(二)瞭解公共圖書館館員不同背景變項在資訊素養之差異情形。(三)瞭解公共圖書館館員不同背景變項在專業成長之差異情形。(四)探究公共圖書館員資訊素養與專業成長之間的關係。(五)探究公共圖書館員資訊素養對專業成長的預測力。本研究之研究工具為參考國內外相關文獻所改編之結構式問卷,問卷內容包含個人基本資料、資訊素養量表及專業成長調查量表。研究對象是中部地區公共圖書館館員,共118人參與此研究。所得問卷資料以SPSS 12.0軟體,進行平均值、標準差、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關、迴歸等統計分析。   資料分析結果歸納之結論如以下五點: 一、公共圖書館員資訊素養程度具備中上程度,尤其是在「資訊倫理」表現最佳。 二、公共圖書館員專業成長表現具備中上程度,尤其是在「專業倫理」表現最佳。 三、影響公共圖書館資訊素養程度的因素為性別、身分、教育程度、畢業科系和資訊科技進修時數。 四、影響公共圖書館專業成長表現的因素為性別、年齡、身分、教育程度和資訊科技進修時數。 五、公共圖書館員資訊素養程度愈高,其專業成長表現愈好,尤其以「資訊認知」最具預測力。

This research aims at evaluating the relations between information literacy and professional growth of public librarians. The main purposes of this research are as follows:understanding the situation of public librarians’ information literacy and professional growth, analyzing the difference of demographic data on information literacy and professional growth. Figuring out the correlations between information literacy and professional growth and exploring the predictive ability toward professional growth based on information literacy. Based on the suggestions of research literatures, a structural questionnaire contains personal information, information literacy questionnaire and professional growth questionnaire served as research tool in this study. This research subjects were 118 public librarians of Taichung City. The collected data were processed by SPSS 12.0 with descriptive statistics(mean and standard deviation), t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analysis method. The results revealed are as follows: 1. Above-average satisfactory of information literacy from the participants, especially in the dimension of information ethics. 2. Above-average satisfactory of professional growth from the participants, especially in the dimension of professional ethics. 3. The factors that influence public librarians’ information literacy are gender, status classification, graduated major, educational level and average time in advanced study of information technology. 4. The factors that influence public librarians’ professional growth are gender, age, status classification, educational level and average time in advanced study of information technology. 5. Public librarians show better attitude toward their information literacy, also perform better professional growth. The information recognition on attitude is most significant predictive factor.
