This study aims to explore the university students’ current status of learning performance, interpersonal relationship and classroom anxiety. In addition, it focuses on the effects of college students’ academic performance and interpersonal relationship on classroom anxiety. In this study, academic performance and interpersonal relationship are two main facets to analyze the reasons of college students’ anxieties in the classroom. There are four main results of this study: (1) the findings shows that 70% of college students have anxieties in the classroom, (2) the excessive motivation may lead to classroom anxiety, (3) poor peer relationships may cause anxiety, and (4) the interpersonal relationships of college students have more influence than learning performance on classroom anxiety. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions for college counseling unit, homeroom teachers of college, and college students in order to reduce student’s classroom anxiety are provided.
