摘要


傳統網路環境中,具有負載平衡功能的網路設備往往放置於廣域網路(Wide Area Network,WAN)和區域網路(Local Area Network,LAN)間,平均分配內部網路對外流量來存取外部服務。當一台路由器有兩條鏈路以上時,傳統做法無法有效使用到每個網路介面。放眼業界最近所倡導的 OpenFlow 協定,為軟體定義網路(Software Defined Network,SDN)中廣為接受的通訊標準,提供彈性化、模組化的網路定義介面。本論文結合 OpenFlow 技術開發一套在動態路由器網路介面(Interface)上自動切換網路介面功能,並且協助網路管理者透過用程式重新規劃網路介面演算切換機制。

In traditional networks, load balancing devices are often placed between Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Local Area Networks (LANs). When a router has multiple uplinks, subtle design of load balancing algorithms will be required to guarantee that all interfaces are utilized effectively. OpenFlow is an protocol for Software Defined Networks (SDNs), which proposes a flexible approach to dynamically change the architecture of networks. In this thesis, we developed an OpenFlow-based bandwidth aggregation router, which allows network administrators to easily and dynamically assign the flow paths of network traffic, by simply modifying a Python script.
