In Singapore, there is a great deal of Taiwanese mothers, who have husbands work in Taiwan or other countries, migrated alone with their children to live in Singapore as applying Permanent Resident status for children's better education. Therefore, this obviously has formed a life style of transnational families. This research has been interviewed by eighteen mothers of Taiwan-Singapore transnational family by using qualitative interview method in order to explore their motive of migration, the imagination with Singapore, the experience of Singapore life; how the real life differ to their expectation, and the recombination and operation of the transnational family. I discovered that they immigrated because they were not satisfied with Taiwan's society which significantly is not safe and public security which is weak. And they were disappointed to the educational reformation of Taiwan which changed so frequently in recent years. So these middle class Taiwanese migrants strategically used the flexible citizenship to stay in foreign countries, consequently, living in Singapore is the way to fulfill their hope of raising their children with international vision and with enhancing a high competitive capacity. Not only the short distance between Taiwan and Singapore provides a fast travel for the transnational family members, the time space convergence under the development of high technology in nowadays is also beneficial to the transnational family, which they can have a more frequently contact and have a authentic face to face communication to their family members through the internet.
