基於正交分頻多工系統之指標調變技術研究

摘要


指標調變(Index Modulation, IM)的概念在最近幾年受到廣泛的討論與關注,顧名思義,指標調變可以透過介質的指標來調變訊號並進行傳送,基於正交分頻多工之指標調變(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing with Index Modulation, OFDM-IM )系統做為指標調變技術的其中一種,使用子載波做為介質來實現指標調變。在相同的頻譜效率(Spectral Efficiency, SE)下,OFDM-IM系統可以達到比傳統OFDM更好的位元錯誤率(Bit Error Rate, BER)表現。 在本文中,我們提出一個名為基於子載波選擇之指標調變(Index Modulation with Subcarrier Selection, IM-SS)的方法,並在IM-SS的架構下應用子載波交織(Interleaved subcarrier, IS)技術。模擬結果顯示,在相同的頻譜效率下,我們提出的基於子載波選擇使用子載波交織之指標調變(Index Modulation with Subcarrier Selection using Interleaved subcarrier, IM-SS-IS)可以更進一步的改善傳統OFDM-IM的位元錯誤率表現。

The concept of index modulation (IM) has been widely discussed in recent years. As its name implies, index modulation transmits signal by modulating data into indices of medium. As a member of the IM techniques, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing with Index Modulation (OFDM-IM) implements index modulation through using subcarriers as medium. It can be seen that OFDM-IM system achieves better bit error rate (BER) performance than classical OFDM under the condition of same spectral efficiency (SE). In this thesis, we proposed a scheme termed Index modulation with subcarrier selection (IM-SS). Furthermore, we use interleaved subcarrier (IS) technique on the structure of IM-SS. Simulation results show that the scheme we proposed termed Index modulation with subcarrier selection using interleaved subcarrier (IM-SS-IS) can further improved the bit error rate (BER) performance of classical OFDM-IM under the condition of same spectral efficiency.
