新手爸爸的父職參與經驗之研究

A Study of the First-Time Father's Paternal Experiences

摘要


本研究旨在探討新手爸爸的父職參與經驗,以瞭解新手爸爸共親職過程中所經歷的挑戰與因應方式。本研究採質性研究之深度訪談法,與七位研究參與者進行半結構式訪談,並以Boeije的螺旋模式分析法進行資料分析,彙整出研究結果。研究結果發現如下: 一、新手爸爸父職參與的內涵包含父職角色的建構與父職角色的實踐,新手爸爸 的意願決定一切,並以能獨自照顧孩子為目標。其父職角色的建構來自社會 期待與原生家庭的影響,也來自於助人工作的反思;新手爸爸的父職角色實 踐較偏任務取向,但仍會因與孩子的互動漸增而提高情感成份。新手爸爸提 供母親情緒及任務上的支持,並藉由照顧母親的情緒以避免衝突,認為「妻 子開心,我就開心」。 二、新手爸爸面臨其個人有情緒或壓力需要舒緩時,透過自我覺察調整心態或找 替代方法來因應,並認為目前的狀態只是過渡期,會隨著孩子成長而好轉。 新手爸爸與妻子間的親密關係減少,取而但之的是與共親職相關的討論與衝 突,可透過「滾動式修正」逐漸取得育兒共識,並藉由安排喘息時空修復親 密關係。 三、新手爸爸需要更友善、更有彈性的勞動環境與托育制度,以因應須兼顧工作 與育兒兩難的壓力,並真正落實性別平權。 最後,依據本研究結果提出對新手爸爸、實務工作者與未來研究方向的建議。

The purpose of this research is to explore first-time father's paternal experiences, and to understand the challenges in coparenting experience they faced and how they deal with. For those purposes, the in-depth interview of the qualitative research method was used. The semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven participants. Hennie Boeije’s “spiral of analysis” was adopted as the data analysis method, which formed the results. The main findings of this research were as follows: Ⅰ. The Connotation of first-time father's paternal includes two parts: the structure of the father role, and the practice of it. The willing of first-time father is important, and they can care of their child by themselves. The structure of the father role which expectation from society and their own childhood family, also affected by their helping profession. They are task-oriented, and the feeling connection between child will be improved by their interaction. First-time father also took care of their wife’s emotion and tasks, they thought “if my wife is happy, then I’m also happy.” Ⅱ. First-time fathers used to adjust their mindset by themselves if they need to relieve their emotion and the pressure. They also tried to find another way to solve them. They thought everything they met were transition period. The situation will be better and better when their child grow up. The conflictions and discussions between first-time fathers and their wifes were more than their intimacy. They can get the consensus of coparenting by ” rolling correction”, and try to find the rest opportunities to repair their relationships. Ⅲ. The more friendly and the more flexible working environment for first-time fathers is necessary, same as the childcare system. Gender equality needs to be truly practiced. According to the results of the study, further discussion and recommendations were provided.
