臺中市國小網室型蝴蝶生態園經營及教學成效探討

The Management and Teaching Effects of Butterfly Ecological Gardens at Elementary Schools in Taichung City

摘要


本研究調查臺中市現存之國小網室型蝴蝶生態園的經營管理現況,以問卷方式調查九校9位蝴蝶生態園負責人經營管理現況,21位使用蝴蝶生態園教學的老師及四校8班共207位五年級學生對蝴蝶生態園的看法,並訪談其中6校的負責人有關學校蝴蝶生態園的經營現況和遭遇的瓶頸。本研究主要發現如下: 壹、 臺中市目前尚在營運的國小網室型蝴蝶生態園其負責人皆是自發性投入蝴蝶生態園的經營維護。 貳、 各學校教師及蝴蝶生態園負責人都高度認可蝴蝶生態園的存在。 參、 多數學校皆有訓練學生或家長志工來協助蝴蝶生態園的經營與維護。 肆、 蝴蝶生態園雖對全校師生開放,但學生進入需取得教師同意。 伍、 使用過蝴蝶生態園的教師認為蝴蝶生態園對教師的教學準備、教學資源 提供與教學專業增長助益明顯。 陸、 教師高度認同學校蝴蝶生態園對學生學習的提升。 柒、 多數教師能對蝴蝶生態園的經營提出建言,但很少投入實際的經營運作。 捌、 學生絕大多數喜歡學校蝴生態蝶園;蝴蝶生態園對於學生的認知和情意領 域具積極正向幫助。 玖、 受限於活動或學校規定,多數學生無緣參與相關推展活動。 本研究之發現可做為欲繼續維持網室型蝴蝶生態園運作的國小參考案例,也提供給未來相關研究者的研究方向及具有網室型蝴蝶生態園的國小教學創新的嘗試方向。

The purpose of the thesis is to study the current management status of butterfly ecological gardens at nine schools in Taichung area. In the research, data is collected and analyzed from the questionnaires among 9 teachers, who are in charge of the gardens; 21 teachers, who ever make use of the resource in the gardens, and 207 fifth grade students in 8 classes at 4 schools. More specific bottlenecks for managing the gardens are investigated from 6 teachers out of the nine teachers. Several conclusions are made and listed as below. 1. All the teachers, who are in charge of the gardens are voluntarily maintain the gardens. 2. Not only the teachers, who are in charge of these gardens but also other teachers at schools highly evaluate the existence of these gardens. 3. Most of the schools can offer training programs to educate students or parents of students as volunteers to help the operation and maintenance of the gardens. 4. All the gardens are open to all the teachers and students at schools, but the limitation is that they need the approval of teachers, who are responsible for the gardens. The limitation is due to the insufficient manpower or budget. 5. The teachers, who ever make use of the gardens all highly agree that these gardens can substantially promote their specialized field when teaching. Moreover, more resources can be obtained from the gardens when they are preparing teaching materials. 6. All the teachers consent the gardens at schools can enhance students’ learning motivation. 7. Lots of teachers can submit positive or appropriate suggestions for managing the gardens, but only few of them can really involve the operation of the gardens. 8. Most of the students can further understand the life cycle of butterflies through the feeding and observation of butterflies in the garden, this procedure absolutely can help the sentimental level when students are learning. 9. Few activities related to butterflies ecology are held because of limited budget. As the matter of the fact, all these activities should have offered more opportunities for students to promote their interest in learning ecology. Findings in research can be referred for schools, which are willing to continuously maintain the gardens. In addition, the conclusions in the research can propose further reference for the future study in this field.
