摘要


在國際一體化的背景下,東南亞國家的企業在全球供應鏈中扮演著至關重要的角色。然而,中小型製造企業正因為高生產成本,低生產效率的經營方式,以及過重的監管負擔,面臨來自跨國公司的激烈競爭。在現行文獻中,東南亞國家的中小型製造企業如何應對外部挑戰而重新配置的文章很少。因此,本論文旨在以結構重組作為動態能力的角度研究企業重組,並對東南亞國家的中小型製造企業進行實證研究。分析數據來自世界銀行2014年至2016年東南亞國家的中小型企業調查數據中的1184個樣本。此研究採用層次迴歸模型來創建預測方程式,並以結構重組作為組織效率及外部環境對企業績效影響的中介變數。本文旨在展示三方面的貢獻。首先,通過分析外部環境和企業績效對結構重組的直接影響,驗證東南亞國家的中小型製造企業重組後績效的前因和後果。其次,本研究的理論回顧和實證結果將破譯結構重組,進一步豐富動態能力文獻。最後,在快速增長的經濟中,企業的所有者和管理者以及政策制定者將通過促進和實施結構重組來創造、轉變和維持企業的競爭優勢。

In the context of industrialization and internationalization, Southeast Asia - Small and Medium Enterprises has emerged to play a critical role in the global supply chain while facing intense competition and fast changes. However, what drives Southeast Asia enterprises to reconfigure themselves and how well they perform in coping with external challenges remains unclear in the extant studies. Therefore, this dissertation aims at investigating corporate reconfiguration in terms of structural reconfiguration as dynamic capabilities and conducting an empirical study for manufacturing firms in Southeast Asia - Small and Medium Enterprises. The study on structural reconfiguration utilizes data gathered from the World Bank Enterprise survey of 1184 small and medium enterprises in Southeast Asia from 2014 to 2016. The hierarchical regression model helps to create prediction equations to test structural reconfiguration as the mediators of organizational efficiency and business environment on firm performance. This dissertation intends to make a threefold contribution. Firstly, by analyzing the direct effects of organizational efficiency and business environment on structural reconfiguration, the antecedents and consequences on the post-reconfiguration performance for Southeast Asia - Small and Medium Enterprises are to be verified. Secondly, the theoretical reviews and the empirical results of this study will disentangle structural reconfiguration and further enrich dynamic capabilities literature. Lastly, owners and managers of firms and policymakers in a fast-growing economy will be enabled by facilitating and implementing structural reconfiguration to create, transform, and sustain the firms' competitive advantages.
