The Cosplay culture in Taiwan has been developing for more than 20 years, and has slowly evolved from a niche activity that is not recognized by social values to a leisure activity. In recent years, Cosplay elements are sometimes mixed with tourism activities organized by both the government's tourism bureau and the tourism industry. In addition, besides participating in anime related activities, some Cosplayers also take photos of tourist locations, looking for locations that match the theme of their characters, and then share the photos or information about the locations with fellow Cosplayers through social media. The purpose of this study is to explore the tourism decisions and behaviors of Cosplayers, and to understand how Cosplayers construct their places, make decisions about locations, and how Cosplay affects general travel choices. The study found that the data from the Internet and in-depth interviews identified the motivations, behaviors, and differences of Cosplayers' tourism, and the impact of their interactions with anime and manga on their tourism experiences.
