With increasing competitive pressures from global economy, the role of human resource managers has also changed dramatically in recent years. In the Chinese society, guanxi is a really important concept, but there is a few people combine it with the field of human resource management. Therefore, this paper stars with the consistency of human resource manager's roles in service industry and performance indicators. Then, we add the concept of guanxi classification as moderator to discuss whether there have any effects between human resource manager's roles and performance indicators. We conclude that the human resource manager's roles are consistent with performance indicators. Besides, guanxi classification moderates the positive relationship between the human resource manager's roles and performance indicators. Some theoretical and managerial implications are also discussed.
