建構在行動裝置上的小型演唱會群眾互動系統

An Interactive Audience Participation System based on Mobile Phone for Small Live Concerts

摘要


現今台灣社會價值觀的改變,使人們更加重視娛樂和休閒活動比以前。在過去花點錢參加演唱會、看看戲劇表演對於許多人而言是一種奢侈的享受,但是在過去十年中經過外國文化的洗禮以及產業結構的改變,越來越多的民眾願意投資更多的資金去提高他們的生活品質。因此演唱會質量與數量急速增加,創造了巨大且不可低估的市場。 近年來有許多藝術領域均開創數位藝術。隨著新技術的衝擊,革命性的新設想的數位藝術吸引了越來越多藝術家的關注。然而,由於硬體與軟體的諸多限制,大部分的演唱仍然很傳統的制式化風格。 隨著技術的進步,智慧型手機的使用率在全球手機市場已上升到25%,預計到2014年將達到 37%。為了滿足各種不同的使用者需求,手機已增加了越來越多的內置功能已,計算能力變得也越來越快。而功能強大的智慧型手機提供了一個非常有趣的平台,可用以開發一種可攜式的人機界面。 在本文中,我們開發了一個互動式的觀眾參與系統,集合了智慧型手機的功能與幾種音樂會中常發生在觀眾和表演者之間的互動。實驗結果表明,我們的系統可以為使用者提供一種全新的互動式音樂會的體驗。而使用者正面的反應也顯示了我們的系統在開發多使用者平台的未來的數位藝術中巨大的潛力。

In Taiwan, today's social values have changed so that people give higher priority to entertainment and leisure activities than before. In the past, most people considered spending money for concerts to be a luxurious taste. However, after the importing of foreign cultures and changing of industrial structures for the last decades, more and more people are willing to spend their disposable income for improving their life quality. Consequently, the variety and number of concerts increased so rapidly that creates a huge market which should not be underestimated. In recent years, there are many pioneering works of digital arts being explored in different art fields. With the impact of new technologies, the revolutionary new vision of digital arts attracts more and more artists’ attention. However, due to the limitation of hardware and software, most of the concerts are still formatted in very traditional styles. With the advances of technologies, the ratio of smart phones in the worldwide mobile phone market has risen to 25 percent, and is estimated to reach 37 percent in 2014. To meet the various requirements of users, more mobile phone built-in functions have been added, and computing ability is getting faster as well. The prosperous infrastructure of smart phones provides a very interesting platform for developing a portable human-machine interface. In this paper, we developed an interactive audience participation system which integrates the functions of smart phones with several common interactions occur between audience and artists in concerts. The experiment results show that our system can provide users a completely new experience of interaction in concerts. The positive users’ feedback also reveals the great potential of our system in developing a multi-users platform of future digital arts.
