本研究旨在研究家庭照顧者參與支持性團體與照顧負荷之間的關係情形,豐富我國文化下照顧者的面貌,進而思考照顧者照顧福利政策,以面對未來老化人口的照顧問題。本研究以量化研究為主,採用團體問卷調查等方式進行,研究對象為曾參與支持性團體之家庭照顧者。本研究正式施測共發出70份問卷,總共回收有效問卷70份,回收率100%;且以質性研究為輔,深度訪談3位家庭照顧者,經過資料分析後,得到以下結論: 1.家庭照顧者的平均年齡為59.77歲,以女性居多且平均照顧年數達7.4年,每日照顧時間平均13.27小時。 2.照顧負荷與家庭照顧者的自覺健康狀況、照顅年數、社會支持及此次團體參與次數有關;照顧負荷與被照顧者的失智程度有關。 3.將家庭照顧者個人背景與照顧負荷有顯著的變項,進行多元迴歸,發現照顧者照顧年數、支持性團體辦理區域達顯著,其解釋力達37.8%。 總體來說,家庭照顧者面對照顧年數的拉長,照顧者的健康狀況日益衰退,亟需非正式資源及正式資源的支持,雖支持性團體對家庭照顧者能提供有效的支持,但亟需改善此福利資源提供的相關困境。最後根據本研究之研究結論與發現,分別從實務方面、學術方面及政策方面提出相關研究建議。
This study aims to examine the related factors of burden and family caregivers participated in support groups. The study populations are the members of using support groups service of caregivers in Taiwan. A cross-sectional correlational research design was employed. Subjects were interviewed face-to-face. The valid samples are 70 through purposive sampling, and 3 family caregivers were deep interviewed in this study. “Social supports scale”, “Care burdens scale”, and interviews were employed in this study.Data analysis was conducted by “Description Statistical Analysis”, “One-wayANOVA”, “Person’s Correlation Analysis” ,” Regression” as well as qualitative research. The results were as follows: (1) The average age of the caregivers was 59.77 and most of them were females. The average time of care was 7.4 years and average time for taking care disabled elders was13.27 hours per day. (2) Caregivers’ burdens were related to caregiver’s perceived health status of caregivers, care time, social supports and the number of groups involved; disabled elders of the degree of dementia. (3) Caregivers’ care time and the area of support groups could explain 37.8﹪variance of care burdens. The finding of the study revealed that family caregivers indeed suffered from care burdens. Social workers in the older person’s area should provide services to decrease caregivers’ burdens and establish and improve long-term care system. Furthermore,social workers in the older person’s area should assess caregivers’ needs, sospecific services could be provided to satisfy caregivers.
