本研究旨在了解貧窮少年的生活經驗,並以復原力觀點探討貧窮少年之生活經驗中所擁有的外在資源、貧窮情境中的因應行動與自我信念。本研究採質性研究之方法,並運用深度訪談作為資料的蒐集方式。在樣本的選取標準上,本研究採立意取樣法作為研究樣本的選擇方式,選擇的條件為:十二歲以上未滿十八歲之就學中的少年、少 年所屬家庭正接受政府或民間機構經濟扶助,且扶助時間長達兩年以上。本研究共訪談四位貧窮少年,研究結果除了分別呈現他們的貧窮生活經驗、擁有的外在資源、貧窮情境中的因應行動與自我信念以外,並綜合歸納整理四位少年訪談資料所呈現之異同,研究結果發現如下: 一、貧窮少年的生活經驗包含經濟上的困擾、物質生活的限制、機會的剝奪與貧窮衍生的問題四項層面。 二、貧窮少年擁有的外在資源包含家庭、親友、學校與社會福利資源四項層面。 三、貧窮少年於貧窮情境中的因應行動包含財務管理、精打計算、主動開拓資源、認真學習、慎選交友型態與個人心理的調適六項層面。 四、貧窮少年的自我信念包含樂觀、成熟、實際、負責與懂得感恩五項層面。 研究者依據上述研究發現進行討論,並提出結論與建議,以作為相關實務工作者與未來學術研究之參考依據。
The purpose of this study is not only to realize the needy adolescents’ life experience but also to explore their own external resources, the action of the needy situation, and self-beliefs from the viewpoint of resilience. The research method of this study is qualitative research, and adapts the depth interviews methods as data gathering methods. In the sample selection criteria, the researcher use purposeful sampling to pick up the participants, and the standards are the following: teenagers going to school, age twelve to eighteen, their families are receiving economic assistance of government or non-profit organization, and support for up to two years. The number of participants of this study is four, and the study includes the four major parts such as the needy life experiences, their own external resources, the action of the needy situation, and self-beliefs of four research participants. Moreover, the researcher compares the same and the difference points with four research participants. The following are the major findings of this study: 1. The needy adolescents’ life experiences: the major life experiences are economic problems, material constraints, deprived of opportunities, and the other problems of needy life experiences. 2. The needy adolescents’ external resources: the major external resources are family, relatives/friends, schools, and social welfare. 3. The needy adolescents’ action of the needy situation: the major actions including financial management, to pinch pennies, the initiative to develop resources, the conscientious attitude toward study, to choose the friends with excellent type, and personal psychological adjustment. 4. The needy adolescents’ self-beliefs: the major self-beliefs are optimistic, provident, pragmatic, having keen sense of responsibility, and being gratitude. According to the results of this study, the researcher offers some suggestions here and hope these suggestions can benefit the professional helpers, and other researchers.
