全球化趨勢下台灣社會工作教育之因應

The Response of Social Work Education in Taiwan under Globalization

摘要


在全球化趨勢下,許多領域遭受影響,舉凡社會、政治、經濟、文化等,皆莫不受波及,社會工作教育亦然,而當全球化視為無法避免之趨勢時,如何對其加以因應顯得格外重要。 社會工作教育主要由價值教育、知識教育、技術教育三大部分組成,在全球化趨勢下,社會工作本身及此三部分,將面臨何種挑戰與如何回應,以更能夠為多元問題之弱勢提供服務,即為本研究關懷焦點。 本研究透過文獻法與質化研究之深度訪談法,訪問五位社會工作相關科系、所的助理教授(含)以上之受訪者,得到以下八點結論: 一、 全球化對台灣社會工作教育影響不明 二、 課程規劃因應不及社會變遷 三、 全球化造成社會工作教育資源排擠 四、 社會工作教育被社會認同待加強 五、 課程規劃上社會工作基本核心價值不變,但應突顯多元文化與多元主義 六、 其它專業領域知識汲取的重視 七、 實習制度的省思 八、 個人能力培養的重要 依據前述八點結論,本研究提出建議如下: 一、 社會工作教育應討論全球化影響 二、 重新反省評鑑制度 三、 社會工作專業於社會認可的加強 四、 課程規劃核心價值重視多元文化與多元主義 五、 開設跨科際整合課程 六、 實習制度應重新調整 七、 實務能力技術的強化

The trend of globalization has affected many fields, including society, politics, economics, and culture. Similarly, education of social work has also been influenced. When globalization is an inevitable trend, it is especially important to find ways to cope with it. Social work education is primarily comprised of value education, knowledge education, and technical education. This study is concerned with how social work itself and these three components will face and cope with which challenges under globalization, and to provide services to minorities with even more diverse issues. This study uses literature methods and the in-depth interviews of qualitative research. Five assistant professors (or above) in social work and related fields were interviewed. The following eight conclusions are reached: 1. The effect of globalization on Taiwan’s social work education is unclear 2. Course planning does not keep up with social changes 3. Globalization has caused social work education resources to be crowded out 4. Social work education has yet been approved by society to a strong enough extent 5. Basic core values in planning courses on social work should not change, but multiculturalism and diversity should be underscored 6. Emphasis on gaining knowledge from other professional fields 7. Reconsideration of the interning system 8. Importance of cultivating personal abilities According to the eight foregoing conclusions, this study provides the following suggestions: 1. Social work education should discuss the effects of globalization 2. Reconsider the evaluation system 3. Enhancement of social approval of the professionalism of social work 4. Core values in course planning should emphasize multiculturalism and diversity 5. Open interdisciplinary courses 6. The interning system should be readjusted 7. Enhancement of practical ability and techniques
