注音輸入簡打機制之研究

摘要


在台灣,注音輸入法是一個廣為人知的輸入法,幾乎每一個人都會使用,但在電腦上的輸入方式並沒有良好的效率,因為幾乎沒有容錯的機制,反觀行動裝置上的輸入法卻非常便利,能夠以較少的按鍵輸入文字,因此本篇嘗試簡化電腦注音輸入法的輸入序列,主要對象是已經長時間使用注音輸入法的使用者,為了讓使用者能夠快速上手,因此在簡化過程中不會增加新的符號或是改變輸入序列的順序,單純省略原本序列中若干個注音符號,也把同樣長度的輸入內容做一樣的簡化處理,讓使用者方便記憶。對於所有315組簡化方案,我們使用音衝突率與詞衝突率來比較各組間的效能,實驗結果顯示在日常輸入環境下最高能以增加1%的詞衝突率來下降0.1個按鍵,投資報酬率最高的簡化方案平均下降大約0.4個按鍵來到平均2.949個按鍵,大約下降了11%的幅度,這樣的效果帶來4 %的詞衝突率增加代價,對於各種不同的按鍵需求都有著接近的數值;但是對於特殊輸入環境,需要大量輸入詞庫所沒有的詞彙時,我們的簡化方案並沒有明顯的效能,每下降0.1個平均鍵數,最好的音衝突率至少也會上升3.5% 左右,因此對於這樣的輸入環境,我們認為維持傳統的輸入方式會是較好的方法。

In Taiwan, almost everyone uses Zhuyin input method which is a well-known input method. However, its current input mode on personal computers is less efficient than on the mobile devices due to the lack of fault-tolerant mechanism. The input methods on mobile devices are very convenient to input text with fewer keys. Therefore, we try to simplify the input sequences of the traditional Zhuyin input method in this thesis. We focus on users who has used the traditional Zhuyin input method for a long time. In order to let the users can get started quickly, we won’t assign new keys or change the input sequences during the simplifying process. We just ignore some Zhuyin symbols in the original sequence and simplify input sequeurse of the same length to make the users easy to remember the rules. For all 315 simplified solutions, we design two measures, the tone conflict rate and word conflict rate, to compare the performance between different choices. The experimental results show that, we can increase 1% word conflict rate and reduce 0.1 keys in the daily input environment. The simplified scheme with the highest return can reduces about 0.4 keys with totally 2.949 key strokes for each tone on the average, roughly about 11% reduction. This effect brings about 4% increase to the word conflict rate. It has similar values for various input requirements. However, for hard input environments where the input words are not in the corpus, our simplified scheme has no obvious performance. Reduction every 0.1 keys will increase at least 3.5% of the conflict rate. Therefore, we believe that maintaining the traditional input method environment is better in this situation.
