A Social-aware Relay Selection Algorithm for D2D Multicast Communications in LTE-A

摘要


隨著無線通訊技術的發展,以及現今智慧型設備高度普及率的情況下,對於行動網路的需求也大幅增加,使得資料的傳輸量也相對地日漸龐大。3GPP所制定的新一代無線行動通訊Long Term Evolution-Advanced(LTE-A),已成為4G標準的主流。而Device-to-Device(D2D) communication的概念接著在Release 12中被提出,D2D指的是一種可不透過基地台轉送,直接在無線裝置間進行通訊的技術。 本文探討在LTE-A網路環境下,透過利用D2D群播通訊在用戶之間共享資料,期望可以有效減少反覆下載同一網路數據造成的網路流量,而為了可以有效地實現用戶之間共享資料,如何選擇作為發送端(Tx)用戶是個重要的議題。在本文中,提出了一個Tx用戶選擇演算法,進一步的基於用戶與用戶之間的社交關係來選出Tx用戶。模擬結果呈現,與Num-based演算法相比,所提出的社會感知演算法可以提升42%的網路容量。

With the development of wireless communication technologies and the high penetration rate of today's smart devices, the demand for mobile networks has increased significantly, and the amount of data transmission has become relatively large. The new generation of wireless mobile communication, Long Term Evolution-Advanced(LTE-A) developed by 3GPP, has become the mainstream of the 4G standard. The concept of Device-to-Device(D2D) communications was then proposed in Release 12, which refers to a technology that can communicate directly between wireless devices without forwarding through the base station. This thesis discusses the use of D2D multicast communications to share data between users in the LTE-A network environment. It is expected to effectively reduce the network traffic caused by repeatedly downloading the same network data. How to choose a user’s device served as a transmitter(Tx) is an important issue of sharing data between users effectively. In this thesis, a Tx user selection algorithm is proposed, which further selects Tx users based on the social relationship between users. Simulation results show that the proposed Social-aware algorithm can improve up to 42% capacity compared with the Num-based algorithm.
